Nikau cafe is perfect- the food is great, staff are lovely. A must visit if you are in welly.
Cleverly concealed from public view by being tucked behind the City Art Gallery in Civic Square, this is a good lunch spot .
Excellent coffee , and the pastries are unmissable. Grab a cheese scone or some jam for later- you'll be glad you did
The kedgeree here really is as good as it gets. Absolutely lovely.
The best halloumi I’ve ever tasted. Apparently that is down to the tapioca flour they coat it with before cooking it. #yum

Kedgeree is available after 11:30am weekdays, all day Saturday. The sage eggs is a great breakfast choice.
Great coffee but came for brunch ie some wanted breakfast food . And some wanted lunch . They couldn't accommodate us. Breakfast until 12 then it's the lunch menu . Reminds me of macdonalds

Coffee was average - it tasted like the machine wasn't set in the morning, but drinkable. Food did seem great but it took so long I had to leave without tasting it. Disappointing.

It's true - the kedgeree really is great.
Nothing special about the kedgeree. Just average. Especially don't like the shredded hard boiled egg on top. Poached is so much better!
