A fantastic view into Maori life both now and then with wonderful geothermal landscapes. A little pricey , but it keeps the village alive.
Well worth the trip. Living Maori village and geothermal area. Nice performance of traditional dances and sons including haka. Much cheaper than the other village nearby.
Fascinating tours of Maori culture and history. Lots of hot springs and geysers to see too.
Stop by and see Jason Phillips for an incredible custom Te Moko (tattoo ). Corn on the cob is excellent. Toss coins to the penny divers. Someone feed these skinny little cats!
Take a walk to the blue and green lakes . Enjoy the view over the thermal valley, maybe you'll see the geysers in activity. However the maori dance and haka were less impressive than in Waitangi.
We loved to visit the maori village . It was the perfect place to learn a new culture
Definitely take a guided tour and watch a cultural performance . Make sure to explore some of the walking trails before you go.
Tour guide was great! People and food
