【国 指定重要文化財 】「えんしょうぐら」… 焔硝とは黒色火薬のことで、この蔵は火薬庫である。壁・床・天井とも花崗岩の切り石としっくいで固められた頑丈な建物で、現存唯ーの珍しいもの。建築 年代を示す資料が最近見つかり、貞享2年（1685）築造と判明した。
徳川時代に火薬庫として使用されていた建物。創建は元和6〜8年(1620〜1622年頃)。当初は土蔵造りだったが、落雷で大爆発を起こしたため工夫がこらされ、貞亨2年(1685年)現存の石造りのものが築造された。重要文化財 。
