I enjoyed the tour very much, but I like the history and human engineering factor of it all. My wife thought it a bit boring, but she's more into natural wonders like nearby Horseshoe bend.
Tours are $5 per person. It's a little high, so if you're afraid of heights, you were warned. It's a nice walk on the bridge too!
There aren't any fossils in the dam store ... Only a really cool Indian blanket around the corner. Worth the stop to go inside and see the view though!
There are photo holes in the chain link fence on the bridge . Walk on the bridge and get some cool shots.
Tour price for adults is $5 pp. It lasts around 45 min. Leave large bags in your car, you'll go through a metal detector.
Be sure to ask your Dam Guide some Dam Questions about this Dam during your Dam Tour ...
It's a Homeland Security site. You'll need to get clearance even if you're with an organized group. Not much of a hassle though. Put items in clear, see through bags.
Great view of the dam :)
Go to THE DAM STORE lol but they have some cool dinosaur fossils !!!
Never speak about bombs, arms and remember that the last morning tour 10.30 after that 14.30

This place is AMAZING! Whether you like swimming, jet skis, boats, kayaks, paddle boarding, Lake Powell has it all. Make sure you make reservations 3-4 weeks in advance - all the tours sell out fast. - Andra Zapartan
One of my very favorite views in the area. Small hike to get there. Great views regardless of crowd. Don't miss it! - Ellen Ennes
Short hike to overlook, not handicap accessible. Great view of the dam. Was very windy when we visited. - PCH 1000
One of the highlights of our trip. A must see when you are in this region. The 90 minutes tour is awesome, especially while you get tips how and when to make the most beautiful pictures. - Sander Zuurhout
Get there at sunset to watch the sun reflect off the landscape. Magical. - Melanie Long
