At 196m tall, Maungawhau or Mount Eden is the highest volcano in Auckland. From the summit, visitors can enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of the city and its harbours. A large, well-preserved crater, some 50 metres deep, is contained within the summit cone.

A must-visit locale for stunning 360 degree views over Auckland.
Cool park and pretty cool view on the city and the Auckland area, especially for the sunset when it's (kinda) clear.
Short hike to the top. The crater is pretty cool!
The best view is actually up a side hill on the west side of the summit
Drive here instead of hiking ! Great 360 view of Auckland and beyond.
You have a 360 view of Auckland ...awesome !
Watch out! Plenty of lover birds in their cars about! :-D

In the bottom of the crater dwells a Taniwha, so beware.
