We love staying here. It's in a great location to the wharf and the cable cars . The concierge always has really good recommendations and the staff is very friendly . Try the Blue Mermaid next door !

Room 453 has an awesome view of Alcatraz. You can crank out the window and hear the street musicians from your room. Don't miss the free wine in the lobby from 5-6p at all Kimpton properties .

The nautical theme is a bit overwhelming for me but rooms are comfy , good water pressure in shower & plenty of outlets for us frequent travelers! Great location along the Bay & close to Embarcadero.

The location is great and it has a good restaurant on site. The rooms are a little small with thin walls but good for a weekend stay.

Continental Breakfast sucks - only teo choices and both do not include anything good or big enough to keep you in good shape till lunch . In all other aspects - this is a fantastic hotel :)

We loved our stay here. Keep in mind that the only view the inner (even #) rooms offer is the courtyard which is basically a cream colored cement box.

Location is excellent. Not sure if it is worth the price though. Even though the website says it, they don't have the wine hour anymore. They also don't have microwaves in the room.

It’s worth spending time at, so order wine at the wine bar attached and have it delivered over.

Alarm clocks still can go off even if you unplug them, be sure to smash yours in to bits or throw it into the bay

Pet friendly and people friendly . Food at mermaid is excellent. Take cable car from Hyde St. Awesome views .

If you will park your car at the hotel they will charge you around 65 dollar per day "4x4"

Was much better when it was a Kimpton property with happy hour and extras. Now it's just, meh. Good location for tourists , but not much else. Hell to find a taxi or uber in the morning.

Room a bit stuffy & lack of view disappointing, expensive for size, but food good both delivery & @Mermaid. Noise from room above transfers down more than expected. Overall we are pleased.

AVOID room 212. It's below the street level , and all you can see from your window is people's feet.

Beware: we found a roach in our room on our last night. Fun!

Room 365 : not renovated yet , old sink , no pressure in shower , empty body wash bottle, seems accessible room which was given as upgrade by calling it a bigger room - disappointing .....
