Can't say much about the variety of trees and plants since I was simply shocked and paralyzed by the way hundreds of exotic birds are kept in meagre aviaries entirely against modern animal welfare.

Even if they don't have a printed map and only work with cash, it's an awesome landscape. Enjoy little surprises through the gardens , specially for couples.

Definitely worth it! Had a good time there. Splendid collection of plants and great views of the city , the ocean and the mountains .

you can come here by bus . No 31, No 31A and you should buy tickets prepared in the Bus tickets box near city centre

The Jardim Tropical Palace in Monte is way more beautiful than this little thingy here! So if you have the choice, choose wisely. ;-)

Very dissappointing! The Park seems run down, the flower patches are not cared after, the ponds were empty and the bird cages are not animal friendly . Go to Jardim Tropical in Monte instead!

So not worth it! If you have a choice between this and the Monte Tropical one, go with that one.

Nice garden , but the bird cages are awful. Small spaces without any acticivities, some of the birds seem to suffer of behavioural stress symptoms :(.

One of the worst garden I've visited ! No variety nor cleanse

By far the worst botanical garden I've ever been. Bad maintenance, rivers are abandoned and barely any flowers . I would not recommend a visit.

Jardim muito bonito e agradável para passear . Negativo: Não facultarem o mapa do recinto à entrada, WC pouco limpo e no Museu já podiam trocar as placas que de tão antigas não identificam coisa alguma

Готовтесь к посещению этого сада - одевайте комфортную обувь. В в саду все дорожки имеют либо умеренный либо крутой уклон . Большая часть из дорожек выложена галькой или камнями .

Giardino botanico tra i più famosi al mondo (altro che cr7) foto spettacolari. Panorami mozzafiato.

В кафе Cica, с панорамным видом на океан и Фуншал обязательно попробовать яблочный пирог (конечно же с кофе )!

Très beau jardin botanique en terrasse . Panorama magnifique. Prévoir 2-3 heures pour en faire le tour .

Passeio bucólico com várias espécies de flores madeirenses além de um aviário com exemplares de todo o mundo. Vale a pena o passeio!

Сад Монтэ, в который попадаешь первее, нежели чем в Ботанический, значительно насыщеннее и интереснее. лучше потратьте время там. Перекусить наверху почти негде. Пицца и бутеры не в счёт....

Ficamos muito desiludidos com o estado em que o jardim se encontra, com baixa manutenção. Espaço com pássaros em péssimas condições, mal tratado, 5,5€ muito mal dados...
