Restaurant week winter 2016 menu was a winner for value and quality. Escargot in garlic butter , roasted cod with fried capers and croutons and ice cream for dessert . Each dish prepared and played well
Great service great ambience very nice and friendly staff . The confit was really the best i ever ate (incl. those in paris). Still i didnt love the margarita . In any case it'll be my fav. French in ny
The bar room is a cool place for after-work cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and on the weekends, Benoit serves one of the best brunches in Midtown (it includes a dessert buffet ). [Eater 38 Member]
They start you off with cheese bread balls, so good! Definitely a pricey place but I enjoyed my scallops and pomme fries .
Only french brasserie worth a damn in midtown. Great place to do a nice meal, or just grab a steak frites and a drink alone at the bar after MOMA. Pied de Cochon are tasty, and the coq au vin is money
Do not skip these dessert : vanilla millefeuille, chocolate soufflé with pistachio ice cream (with crunchy pistachio bits), profiteroles with tableside chocolate sauce service.
Feed the francophile! Alain Ducasse true bistro classics. Order the sharable charcuterie platter (with a tiny jar of cornichons , crusty bread + Dijon ). Stellar lunch = salad w/roast organic chicken
Quite authentic French cuisine and extensive wine list !!! The escargot was small, but tasty and all the fish dishes (+fries ) we ordered were all cooked perfectly and delicious
casual French restaurant serves faithful versions of all your bistro favorites like coq au vin , cassoulet , and escargots . The bar room is a cool place for after-work cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
A lovely place, great service. Definitely get Hos D'oeuvres as appetizer , pick any 3 or 5, they are all delicious. I had Foie de Veau for.entree, I was pleasantly surprised of the portion, very tender
Nice faux-Parisian bistro - one of the few places still doing fish quenelles and doing them right. Great casual bar - great place on your way to or from MOMA
Alain Ducasse place but probably not the top of his line . Probably the best is lunch or dinner (must be there before 6:30) prix fixe . They give you a little present (was merengue for me) after dinner
Alain Ducasse’s high-end bistro modeled after the original Benoit in Paris. It has a rich beautiful décor however maintains a relaxing vibe . We highly recommend the Cassoulet !
Great restaurant , top-notch service, solid cocktails , and extensive wine list . Really liked the Benoit Burger .
Eat at the bar Incredible charcuterie yummy chicken and pomme frites . The restaurant itself is also wonderful we were just in the mood for the bar scene.
Fantastic! Interesting yet classic. Even just to pop in for the profiterolles is worth a visit!! Great wines and beer . 5 star service.
Great seasonal soups (French onion , gazpacho , butternut squash ). Steak frites hits the spot. Soufflé or profiteroles to share for dessert a must.
I love the cassoulet and the foie gras . Of course the duck confit is the best in the city .
More than just Bistro food level Really solid French cuisine . Love the new bar design.
The lunch menu has great options: to be very french, try the mussels with french fries ! With a glass of shirah wine ????
The food here is fantastic. They have a nice selection of great French dishes. Can’t wait to come back.
Chef Philippe Bertineau started off his New York career at Daniel 20 years ago and has remained a friend ever since. Don’t miss his cassoulet !
Scallops were fantastic and so was the apple tart ! Highly recommend this quaint little French spot
The three-course, $25 lunchtime prix fixe menu is one of the better deals in midtown. And per Adam Platt, the signature tarte flambée is worth a special trip. Read more
Pleaaaaase do not miss out on August special - shredded oxtail stuffed tomatoes ! It's so so deliciousSss
Benoit Bistro: It's on the pricey side, but it is authentic French food . The service is great too. If it is your first at Benoit, try the salmon puff pastry and Crème brûlée is a must have. Read more
Grab a seat at the bar , order a drink and some steak frites . Best French bistro in midtown .
Meringues were once called the forgotten cookies , as they can be cooked in a cooling oven, but it would be difficult for diners to overlook the pink, almond-sprinkled meringues bagged at Benoit.
Nice French bistro in midtown .
Great food and cocktails . Mezcal drink was great as was the onion soup .
Decent selection of wines available by the generous carafe . Also: free cheese bread puffs. So. Savory. So. Good.
The French onion soup followed by the lobster salad appetizer was the perfect amount of food and absolutely delicious.

Impressive collection, beautiful sculpture garden. All that you can hope for in a museum. The 5th floor cafe is pricey, but the food is very good and the view on the balcony is worth the price. - Kaisa Hernberg
