Ugrasen ki Baoli (Agrasen ki Baoli) is a historic and protected site New Delhi located in India.
Hailey Road, Connaught Place (Near Kasturba Gandhi Marg) New Delhi 110001 Delhi India
It's a 60m long 15m wide historical step well . It's believed that it was originally built by the legendary king Agrasen during the Mahabharat era & rebuilt in the 14th century by the Agrawal community
Free to enter and very popular, even in the hottest part of the day. Climb all the way to the bottom of this ancient step well and see the thousands of bats that live in the roof.
You cant miss the huge graffiti in front of the monument 's entrance which is part of an Indo-Brazilian Street Art festival . Its huge, colourful and beautiful.
Its an amazing contrast between the old and the new. At the cusp of the well you see modern towering blocks rising in the horizon. Nothing really builds you up for that contrast.
It's an amazing place even if you're alone. Let's you reflect upon your life and have a break from the tensions associated with routine life.
Don't miss the graffiti wall here.
Awesome old water system of India. It's a water reservoir .

El lugar es interesante, tiene historia, impresionante ! Lo único es que al fondo hay un sin fin de murciélagos y el olor no es tan placentero que decidí quedarme a la mitad de lo profundo.
Ottimo sito storico e pezzo
