Fantastic transport hub : DLR (to Poplar/Canary Wharf/Lewisham or West Ham/Canning Town/LCY/Woolwich), Overground, Jubilee Line , Central Line , National Rail and nearby International Rail!
Alight here for the Discover Children's Story Centre, Theatre Royal Stratford East and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (Credit taken from TfL's Cultural underground line maps)
There are in effect two separate sets of DLR platforms at different ends of the station. If you don't realise that, it's 50/50 whether you'll end up on the right platform !!!!
Utterly baffling. Take a few moments to make sure you know for sure where you're going. I'm a transport geek and I only have a vague idea of what's going on here.
For a nice coffee to go: either the little coffee stall just outside the station or the one opposite WHSmith (it's hidden behind the stairs).
Huge. Interlinks with the national rail platforms . Brings you right out into a shopping centre. Bit of a mooch through to the stadium .

This place is mental! No idea it was so big. A lot of going 'up and over' to get to different platforms !
Use the new entrance on the first level - no annoying queues, vendors, confused travellers or religious zealots to block your way. There are ticket machines up there too!
Helpful staff , easy to find your way around, easy access for wheelchair users.
If someone asks you for money because they can't get home - it's a lie and you shouldn't give anything. Tell them you'll order them a taxi and they can pay when they get home.
The Jubilee Line in general runs pretty well and with 3 platforms going out of Statford you don't usually have to wait too long :-)
Pop to the coffee shop if you need the toilet as the toilets are next door behind the lift
Massive tube station most TFL lines in central London
Its all happening at this station. People waiting for people. Flowers being sold right outside the station. Cash machines being queued up for. Very busy indeed.
Loads of transport connections, and Westfield right next door
Really bad station if u need to go loo they are always closed and tell u to go to westfield even though u have touched in with your oyster and have to go out again absolutely useless station
Don't just stand there like a lemon or you'll die in the stampede...
Theres a more warmer way to get to Westfield from the Jubilee line
Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination as National Express will likely have delays and cancellations. And this is our 2012 olympic line !
Platform 17 towards Beckton takes you to the Excel Centre
Try to buy your ticket somewhere other than here as the queue is, at very very best, a mile long!
Free wi-fi from Virgin Media.
Underground and DLR interchange.
People using the station need to learn the concept of keeping left.
Pass through rather than visit
Outside platform is like sheet ice when it rains
See people running for the jubilee line ? Join in!
Turn left outside d station For national rail tickets
New platforms ...not enough signs!
Catch a glimpse of the Olympic stadium :)
Bune yaaa...!!
Just 2 ticket machines !Rubbish!
Finding the correct platform for your DLR train ? Good luck.
To Greenwich, change at Canary Wharf
Docklands Light Railway... Station at Stratford.
Horrible station, both confusing and ugly with glum semi hostile locals milling around.
Don't get off the train .
Central Line sucks
Ugly, ugly, UGLY!
Don't take much notice of when or where or what platform the next train is departing from - Stuart Currie
