Literally the best burger I've ever tasted (Majestic burger ). Also the fried chicken was to die for. Not greasy at all, juicy and tender and not too much breading Great experience for a out of towner!
Under the guiding hands of Restaurant Eve 's Cathal and Meshelle Armstrong, The Majestic is comfort food at its best. The Old Town restaurant has a Sunday night family-style dinner . [Eater 38 Member] Read more
From the warm bread with savory butter to the meatloaf and whipped potatoes , you won't be disappointed if you love comfort food ! Top off your evening with some creme brule and you can die happy!
1940 ish atmosphere updated. Food fabulous. I had the spaghetti ! They make handmade noodles ! Really good. Kept thinking someone like Olivia de Havillon would walk in. Or Frank Sinatra. ????
The last time I was here I ordered the gnocchi . If you’re looking for family-style Italian pasta - this is not it. Very rich, creamy flavors that have a slight kick. Highly recommend.
Mussels with apples , cider , lardons and cider crème fraîche An autumn mussel dish at this Old Town New American evokes Normandy with its savory combo of apples , bacon and seafood .
Dinner was AMAZING! Service from Daniel S was 5 star! The mussels are out of this world! Seriously Id give this place PLATINUM SPOONS! We were talking about going back even during our meal. SIMPLY GO!
I always get the specials here. And I love to sit in the front window booth , watching everyone walk by.
Fried Chicken Kale Chop Salad is awesome! Chicken not too heavy and great flavor. Don't let the kale scare you off. :)
Even just sitting at the bar and having lunch is quite a delightful experience here. The bartenders really know what they are doing.
Everything here is made in house. Try the coconut cake , very moist and sweet -- huge slices. The homemade bread that comes with the meal is tasty!
Billed as Rustic American, this is a simple and simply delicious dining experience. Nana’s Sunday Dinner is definitely a treat. Read more
This eclectic American cafe , part of Cathal Armstrong’s growing empire, features the same farm-to-table dedication as its higher-end sibling, Restaurant Eve , along with cocktails from Todd Thrasher.
Sunday supper is the highlight here - a roasted chicken or bbq pork is accompanied by a mountain of buttery potatoes ... and be sure to save room for a whole pie (cross your fingers for banana cream ).
This is my first tip and all I gotta say is get the scallops for the love of god
The lamb meatballs are amazing! If you have a party of 3+, I would order two for the appetizer .
I had the pork chop dinner and their black banana pudding . They were great but a very limited menu.
"One night The Majestic can blacken a local catfish with aplomb and another night can barely pep it up with an Asian-leaning vinegary sauce." - November 2012
A vibrant bar scene with an excellent menu.
OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! best cesar salad ever, they make it table side for you and the main courses are all very good. If you go there get the coco van.
coconut cake is highly recommended. crowded and noisy on busy nights. mac and cheese needs work.
Ricotta dumplings take very kindly to meaty, sage-covered mushrooms , summer corn and brown butter-tinged onions . - November 2011 issue
Whole grilled gish - meatloaf - fried green tomatoes . Awesome menu and service!
Try the Boris Karloff -- just added to the drink menu last night, 1/22 -- plymouth gin , Kafir lime syrup , whipped egg whites , and lime juice . Delicious!
The Majestic Burger is tasty
Fried green tomatoes are a staple on the menu, but their preparation changes with the season (currently Spring prep with arugula and home-made creamy Italian dressing ).

Loved the chicken liver mousse and soft shell crab .
Best drinks ever. I love the effort the bartenders go to make each drink special . Try the flavored all natural vodkas .
Get a cocktail !!! Delicious.
Sit at the bar and relax. Let Anna take care of you - she's the best.
Tried the Tim's yummy soup but far too salty for me, couldn't eat it. :-( onion rings my son ordered far too greasy. Bratwurst was excellent.
Awesome place for wine ! A beautiful speak easy !
Dont miss the coconut cake ????
The Saturn is a great cocktail !
Short , but shockingly well-thought-out beer list here, with lots of beers that are hard (if not impossible) to find elsewhere around DC.
The chicken liver Mousse is "OMG"
Bit of a letdown from the hype- and service is all over the place.
Burger delicious
