Lots of good food here. The Poy Kee YTF and the mala is a must try. Long queues for both always. The mala‘s portion is generous and reasonably priced. Cheaper than most of the mala elsewhere.
YI PIN BEEF KING 一品牛腩王 01-1074. Just moved here. Tender mix brisket with tripes and tendons . I love the soup version with kway tiao (flat rice noodles ). Always one of my favourites in Chinatown. Best!
Local desserts : Only 3 stalls in this massive food centre, all along the same row facing OG. New Happy Cafe #01-1024 scores high in my books , for getting d basic green bean soup right - thick & sweet
Due to its proximity to China Town , most of the stalls sell Chinese. Easy to miss behind the walls of the market , despite being 10 feet from the MRT exit. Great pig stomach soup !
Hainanese beef noodles . Enjoyed a bowl of the pork version from Hometown Hainan Fen #01-1100. Thick flavourful sauce. Interesting texture with roasted nuts , julienned bamboo shoots & pickled vege
Soy beancurd . Spot the difference. 四川名小吃 Si Chuan Ming Xiao Chi #01-1044 offers 2 types. Normal with brown sugar & mala (savoury spicy ) style. Taste authentic . Both yummy, both $2.50 each
Chinatown , is really chinatown I been. Even other country also have chinatown, but I'm sure you can't find the feeling like "so chinatown " at others country . Food is so delicious!
Satay Bee Hoon . Rare dish to find in Singapore. Decent plate from Chuantong Guzaowei #01-1016. Lots of slices of pork , liver & cuttlefish . This is their medium size ($5)
Great variety and value for money , walk around and choose from one of the numerous restaurants , from noodles and rice to fish or pork ; something for everyone
Liang mian ‘cooling noodles ’ (凉面). Interesting $3.50 dish from Si Chuan Ming Xiao Chi (四川名小吃) #01-1044. Caution: Moderate the amount of chilli paste to taste; it can really taste overpowering
Ice-cold sugarcane juice . Quench your thirst from many of the drinks stall offering this local natural drink. This big cup $2 (+30-cents lemon to enhance taste) from Lan Kee #01-1020

Braised duck : Fans make a bee line for Lek Kee #01-1104 during mealtimes. Meat cuts r thick & generous, braised sauce has d traditional herbal aroma.
Fishball noodles : Familiar local brand Ming Fa has a stall here #01-1140 selling fishball & minced meat noodles (bak chor mee ). Both delicious. Fishball & meatball bigger than golf balls!
On levels 2 or 3, look for the car park sign to locate the pedestrian bridge to cross over the parking building at the back
In the evening the place is filled with drunken uncles and everybody seems to be eating huge bowls filled with animal innards. The place has what you call, 'character'. Korean stall 01-1054, not bad.
Dim sum : Chop Hean Kuan #01-1018. Stall does brisk business selling takeaway items during mealtimes. Food items r made fresh 2 doors away :-)
This hidden corner shop actually taste much better than the famous 日日红麻辣香锅。This Ma-la hotpot is unit #01-1060A

Fishballs fr Teochew Bakso #01-1008 are big! Fish cake slices r also generous but salty. Best eaten & balanced w plain noodles
Tried the fried dumplings as recommended but the skin is rather thick and not really delicious or juicy... ????
Don't you dare try their siopao here. It costs 1.5SGD, cheap since it is big and really looks yummy. It has the weirdest taste and smell. ???? In the end, we were not able to eat it. ????????
YTF...Its to die for.If you are still alive after the meal..head to the coffee joint at the corner n try the ice coffee .
So many options to choose from! Narrow down your list by looking at the Michelin recommended hawker stalls. Haianese Chicken + Xiao Long Bao are must-trys.
Roasted meats . Lean but dry roasts from See Sean Rice Stall #01-1026. But I disliked the most was eating this plate using chopsticks & plastic spoon; no other cutlery options given. This combo $6.50
Try selecta's ice cream bar for 1.25 SGD ???????? You'll surely ask for more once you've tasted it! ????We've bought it near the Seven Eleven Store in front of People's Park Complex.
Chicken rice . Zhen Zhu Fan #01-1098 sells this very local food. $3 buys u this basic plate. Decent boiled white meat, although skin not springy enough. Chilli dip was punchy. Soup could be less salty
A very lively hawker centre at night. Lots of food options
Level 2 (above the food centre) is predominantly a floor of textile wholesalers & tailors
Roasted meats . Avoid 116 Shao La Mian #01-1092. All their meats (roasted duck , roasted pork - sio bak, BBQ pork - char siew ) were tough to chew. And cold. Soup was salty too!
The Yong Tau Foo stalk is the best in all of Singapore!
Ming Xing Wu Xiang xia bing stall 1118 is my favourite since childhood. Chilli sauce is old school and her fried bee hoon is first class
What a great place to eat good value food and mix with the locals. I love it!
The roast meat stall near the main road sells the best char siew and duck noodles .
Corner Ma la hotpot always has a line . I prefer #01-1048 in the middle.
Koo kee yong tow foo mee, menu no 5 with chili is always great!
Not bad... Like the skin. Not too floury and thickness just nice. Juicy dumplings .
Fun to see, lots of Chinese, not a lot of tourists . All food is alright here, lots of different kinds.
Another of many hawker food courts in Singapore. I love their 1000 ways of dumplings
Water cooler. There's one near the public toilets
Hainanese curry rice . Curry sauce from Num Hiam #01-1102 was rather basic, lacking aroma. Pork chop tasted cold & not crispy
If you want something that will knock your lips out of commission, try out the spicy dishes @ Sichuan Famous Snacks , #01-1044
Try the Tian Jin Fong Kee fried dumplings .. Thin skin with lots of filling pan fried till skin is crispy but filling still remains juicy... Yums!!!
Great, affordable food. But the toilets ... the only toilets I've encountered so far in Singapore that charge a fee. Yet they're also the most poorly maintained: filthy, no toilet paper, and ants !
Very tasty mala hot pot! You pick what goes inside, plenty of vegetarian options. (Notice: medium hot = very hot) - Maria Tran Larsen
