Nice place, camping site is a bit too close for my taste (neighbor to neighbor). Rangers are nice and friendly . Not too much for trails but the sea wall proved great for this.

Galveston Island State Park, in Galveston County , is a 2,013.1-acre site that was acquired in 1969 from private owners under the State Parks Bond Program and was opened in 1975.

We love coming to spend the day here at the beach . Clean spacious bathrooms at the day-use area.

The bay sites are ok, get a view of the bay . Ocean sites have no view .Watch out for price $5 per adult per night on top of campsite fee. No trees , no sewer, no amenities . Not worth price.

Usually less crowded and has shower , changing rooms, and restrooms .i love watching the birds .

Stay out of the dunes! Rangers are warning of snakes and rats in the dunes!

The recovery from almost total devastation after Ike has been amazing. Great staff and great sunrises.

Bathroom at the first parking lot of RVs was the best.

The RV sites at the ends of each loop (Gulf Side) are the best.

Rude staff rude staff and rude staff . Save yourself a butt load of cash and go to Crystal beach . We left after one day after coming in contact with 3 separate extremely rude park officials.
