Really excellent Mexican food . I'm from the US south west where Mexican food is everywhere, but here in NZ good Mexican is hard to find. Tried lots in Auckland and this is clearly the best!
The menu on the website isn’t necessarily what they’ll have. Specials appear to change. I had the special of chicken enchiladas in black bean sauce (enfrijoladas ), and they were excellent!
Tacos were amazing. Nasty Beans were nasty in a good way! The home-made hot sauce hot and tasty. Worth the extra $$$.

I thought it was really enjoyable. Delicious, pared-down Mexican cuisine . Portion sizes were on the small side. My dining-mates were not impressed with the tacos . But enchiladas were delicious.
Get the chilli beer . Reasonably expensive at $11 but the perfect complement to the spicy food . You'll be glad you did!
this is the only 100% legit mexican restaurant in Wellington. Try the huarache . ;)

Proper cornmeal tacos , and the lamb tacos are spectacular. go for it!
The lamb tacos are highly recommended. Melt in the mouth meat and delicious sauce.
