The origin of The White Lion is mysterious as little historical information is available. However it is at least 150 years old and was possibly a pub of the old Weller’s Brewery of Amersham, but whether it was the White Lion Road or the pub that was named first we don’t know.

Really nice little pub . The mussels were delicious. Will be back
Great beer garden for the summer. Sometimes have live music and beer festivals .
The staff don't seem to know what they're doing. I got given the wrong meal, although it was changed when asked. The menu implies the cheese burger has a larger burger than the others, it doesn't.
Everything you would expect from a proper English pub . Sit in the snug
Ask about the green beer brewed from young hops that haven't reached dull brown maturity.
Try the hand battered hake and chips .
Just been renovated and it's much nicer now
Really nice old pub

Been going here for years and years. Dogs welcome, good food, seating outside in the summer and two log fires inside for the winter. Perfect : ) - Anna Davis
