This place is absolutely stunning. The views is just amazing. I’d recommend coming earlier if you wish to do some hiking as the park closes at 6 PM.

Get there before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. on summer weekends, holidays and fall color weekends. Also park at the Trails Parking area just below the summit and take the Bridge Trail to the top.

Get the audio guide to play in your car as you drive through the mountain , but get out at the top to walk the Mile High Bridge and see the animals. Read more

One of my favorite places in the world. Beautiful views , swinging bridge , animal park , and FUDGE. Make this a priority when in the area.

I highly recommend Grandfather Mtn. It is by far, 1 of the MOST memorable places I have EVER BEEN in my life! The Mile-High Suspension Bridge RULES!! Go visit!!!

Bring good shoes . The hike isn't long, but it makes up in length for climbing ladders on the side of the mountain . Coming back is worse than climbing up.

Bring your camera and capture the 360-degree views from the Mile High Swinging Bridge . Grandfather is also a sanctuary where visitors can come eye-to-eye with bears , cougars, otters, eagles and deer.

They gave the bears a box and a water jug, and all the bears came up,I got great pic's, it was so cool.

Park in the Hiker's lot and enjoy the Bridge trail to the top. It's a great little hike and worth the extra effort.

Climb to the peak, it takes about an hour. Don't bring a dog because they can't climb ladders
