Stopped by to take a break from driving. Surprisingly wide range of activities on offer (not just prawn fishing !) and the riverside restaurant is great for lunch .

Make do if your in taupo! Come early and spend the whole day and either take your prawns home or cook them at the park :) so much fun!!

Prawn fishing is fun, but don't expect to catch many unless you're some kind of superhuman. Restaurant is nice. Save some trout food for the wild trout later on (not just the ones in the pond )

Beware!! Surcharge on public holidays!! FFS, you know how many public holidays there are in a year so build that into your costs instead of adding surcharges!! Every other country does!!

Fun experience

Don't hope to catch much prawn , their ponds are full of tiny fish that will eat your bait in no time.
