During the summer season the Festival of Arts presents its Pageant of the Masters, featuring re-creations of classical and contemporary works with live models, a full orchestra and live narration .
Seriously incredible and unique live event blending fine arts , performance , and music . There isn't much lovelier than sitting outside and watching theater come to life.
Since 1933, the Pageant features "living pictures" in which people look as though they are part of famous artworks using costumes , makeup, headdresses, lighting, props, and backdrops.
Just a stunning show! Changes every years and is fantastic. Live music , dance , narration . Even the very back row was a good view .
Blankets & sweaters are essential items to bring to the Pageant of the Masters; real wine glasses are a smart choice too.
My 3rd Pageant, looking forward to next year. Beautiful traditional art event in an outside amphitheater . Join as member $40 a year, buy Loge Center tkts for $65 each, you will see "blinks" et al...

Don't miss it. It was unbeliveable.
The pageant is splendid however the gallery at large is very average, bordering on dull. Nothing really confronting or close to cutting edge. Dare I say...safe!?
