Applause is a small but stylish izakaya kind of Japanese restaurant. Our main goal is to bring the new style of Japanese cuisine to the westside neighborhood at reasonable price.

the sushi is ok, but I dream of their udon . if the ebi oroshi udon (hot shrimp tempura and cold noodles in broth) is on special, jump on it.
Always excellent. Food is so fresh. As a regular they don't forget your order. The smoked salmon mango roll and their appy sashimi . Yummmmmm!
Favourite dish: nasu gendasku (eggplant baked in miso ). $5.50 for an entire Japanese eggplant , sliced lengthwise.
Love the toro and amaebi nigiri there, a must try. Although the chopped scallop roll I had isn't as fresh =(
great sushi place, love their food, love their online reward program
Reserve toro when you reserve a table. They run out pretty quickly
Well they do have a good deal , a tasty food, and a table available on weekends
Toro nigiri , caterpillar roll , eggplant , mentaiko udon ! So good!!
Big portions , helpful Japanese staff (yes, it matters), parking lot on the side. A winner.
Not a bad place! One of the better chirashidons I've eaten.
Price too high for this food. Ordered tempura , a little oily. Over Road Roll the fish tastes good but roll was too small. 30 dollar per person, not worthy for the food.
Their lunch special is a great deal!
One of the BEST sushi places ever!
Tamago nigiri is really good too!
The sushi noodle combo can be quite fulfilling at a reasonable price.
my favourite japanese restaurant . excellent food at affordable prices .
Liked that they had wild sockeye salmon for their sushi combos .
Atrocious service.
A lot of things on the "vegetarian " menu have fish in them, like the miso soup . The quality here is low, the prices are exorbitant, and the servers are rude and speak very little English.
don't forget they close at 10! been here 7 times and they were closed or passed last call.
Decent food overall but the rolls are unimpressive. Have had better California roll at AYCE restaurants
Place smells bad but food tastes delish
