Created by the IM Pei , it is located in the beautiful Shigaraki Mountains near Kyoto. It is quite literally intended to be a paradise on Earth, it worked for me; it is my favorite museum in the world
Amazing museum hidden away in the countryside of Shiga. Really far to go unless you love museums/architecture though. Designed by IM Pei . No photos of exhibits . Need to book a time slot ticket online
Pretty far but totally worth it. As expected from Japan, transport there is efficient and easy to use (a direct bus from the Train station ), a must see :)
The Buddhist statue of Gandhara (2C) and the Dionysus Mosaic (3C) alone make a trip worthwhile. – Green Guide Editor

루브르박물관의 피라미드를 설계한 I.M.페이가 무릉도원을 모티브로 만들었다는 미호 뮤지엄은 JR Kyoto 역에서 Biwako Line (2번, 3번 플랫폼 탑승)을 타고 JR Ishiyama 역에서 내려 150번버스를 타고 종점까지 오면 된다. (버스비 편도820¥)
美しさが最高。紅葉 、桜のシーズンが良いとおもうが、グリーンシーズンも良い。
圧倒的なスケール感。トンネル を抜けるとそびえ立つ建築 物。
設備が凄いからまずそこに圧倒される。
