This is one the THE BEST Italian restaurants my husband and I have ever dined at. Their lasagna is by far...AMAZING ...and I never like anyone else's other than mine! Service was top notch and not $!
Wow this is the best pasta I've had in San Diego! The mushroom ravioli was some of the best pasta I've ever had including in Italy. All the staff are Italian. Love this place.
I had black linguine with seafood - simply divine! The wine was good too and the service impeccable!
Has the ownership changed? The staff is all new, the prices went up, and food quality decreased. Still great service but no longer the same quality food, and al dente pasta , we knew and loved.
The most authentic and delicious Italian restaurant in America. Great value for an incredible meal
Big portions . Eggplant Parmesan followed by Putinesca. Excellent.
My favorite restaurant in San Diego. Have been coming here since 04. Love it! Real Italian food , Italian waiters , Italian music . Love it. Introduced all my friends to it, and now everyone is addicted!
Lobster ravioli with saffron cream sauce was delicious. Very good Italian food located in hillcrest
The Rigatoni with Italian Sausage is amazing! Simple yet delicious.
My favorite Italian restaurant . Italian waiters and the arrabiata is great. The mushroom risotto was also spot on.
Best beef carpaccio in San Diego. Pork ossobucco best thing on the menu. Long waits for tables outside on Friday nights.
Great Italian food with a great setting. Servers ad always friendly and you leave full!
So good, great prices, good service , wine isn't good but it's cheap :)
Pork Osso Bucco is the best dish I have ever eaten. Gnocchi Gratinari is also unbelievable!
Best Italian I've had outside of Rome! If you can't go to the eternal city , come here ;-)
I've been coming here for almost 10 years now and it's still my favorite place in San Diego.
The cioppino is fantastic! And ask for a sample of tier penne ala vodka . Superb!
4th St. Pizza w/zucchini, tomatoes , fresh basil & cream cheese ...mmmm to die for! Giovanni and his endless pours of Limoncello...priceless! :)
Portions are medium sized. But the atmosphere is authentic and there are plenty of options. They don't do separate checks tho!
Bring your friends, bring your family, or come alone, just get here! It's the best Italian food in SD.
Great food, awesome place... recommend the Baked Gnocchi with Alfredo sauce
Some of the best, most reasonable and authentico italian in town . Go on the early side for dinners , they do fill up. I swear by the chicken lasagna .
Tasty Brussels sprouts !
Lasagne and capers e appetizer are excellent.
Feels very Italian (obv) but the food is too good. I am definitely coming back here :)
Mezzelune all'aragosta is the best ravioli they have!
If you’re in the area it’s the only Italian I’d recommend.
I've gone here for years and the Black Linguine is always the best!
Make reservations before you come (we still had to wait 15 mins with reservations )
Amazing home made pasta , the gnocchi transcends poetry.
I simply love the black linguini !
Food was excellent. Service was even better.
Make reservations on weekends. Get the filet mignon it's most excellent.
Huge portion on the pork ossobucco , and it fell off the bone like it should.
Food here is amazing. I usually order lobster ravioli with saffron sauce and a glass of pinot grigio .
After second lunch I am increasing my rate from 7,9 to 8,3. :)
Great Italian food in Hillcrest area! The guy will smooth talk you even when you're full with your entree... be warned he's good!
This restaurant is poorly ranked it's definitely not number 1 I really don't recommend it, I found a hair in my salad and there was a bug crawling on the wall then our table it's not clean .
Pork ossobucco over mushroom risotto is a gift from heaven.
Cute restaurant ! Good quality food!
Pork ossobuco! Best Italian dish I've ever eaten. Very rich. Worth it!
mezzalune all'aragosta! lobster ravioli is a white saffron sauce .. creamy and delicious.
Everything is better from their "Speciali del giorno" menu.
So good.. so fresh...so Italian

Great food and service. Very hard to find parking and our meter expired. So we got a welcome to SD ticket for $42.50. Includes a $12.50 out of state penalty. Yes, we will not be back to San Diego.
Sit in Lucco's section, he is the man!
Get just about anything here, and you'll love it. My fave? The Penne Arrabbiata.
We had pasta & fried calamari both are good. They don't have pizza ; for pizza they have small place 150 meters ahead.:(We will try there as well but an Italian restaurant should have pizza ! 7,9/10
