Delicious pizza ! The 8-piece size is huge! We also tried the antipasti and it was ok! We went at the opening time and we just walked in. I definitely recommend it!!
Get there early, wait gets crazy. But if you have to wait, it's worth it. The half pepperoni , meatball and half ricotta , onion was pretty spectacular. The location is also unbeatable.
Grimaldi's is a great experience if you want some NY pizza history, but there are better pizzas in this style to be had in the the city/BK The best pizza on the menu is their White Pizza by far!
I thought tourist price and I go to place on Manhattan, Then I remembered I spent $100 on beer last night and stayed for a small meatball . Excellent NY pizza & take off my bucket list. JUST DO IT!
Local Brooklyn's favorite pizzeria . Delicious straight forward fresh pizza that is worth the hype. Honestly, the bad reviews of this place are the kind of negativity you don't need in your life
you can pick out of two bases for your pizza - white (14$-small / has extra cheese no tomato ) and original (12$-small / w. tomato ) . Then pick your toppings. jalapeño and garlic is amazing. Cash only .
This original pizza in the heart of dumbo. A landmark with a tourist attraction . It's some good and fast pizza . It's fairly priced they moved it got more space. No more long lines . Do it once!!!
Came on a whim to avoid the line at Juliana 's-- great decision!! ???????????????? Calzone was huge and delicious and pizza was just right. Fast service too.
One of the best pizza in the city .Its definitely worth to try.Pizza was crispy , flavorful and tasty. The place was not overcrowded as it was usually before a pandemic.
The pizza is amazing. Made to perfection. The only downside is that you wait a long time to be seated, and to get your food. Overall, once you get the food you'll see its worth it
Ranked New York City ’s #1 Pizza , this is the best coal-oven pie with the freshest mozzarella and just the right amount of sauce. Come hungry and bring friends because they don’t sell by the slice!
You may have to queue for a bit to get seated but it's definitely worth it - Italian atmosphere , delicious pizza and reasonable prices. P.S. Cash only
Grimaldi’s offers over 100 years of pizza-making traditions and calzones baked to perfection in their signature coal burning oven.Listed as the number one spot for pizza in NYC , be prepared for a wait Read more
Went on sunday at 2p and was empty, no line ! I think maybe 30min later it started getting lil more busy but still no wait. Pies order only, 16" totally enough for 2. Worth it when there's no wait.
Sure, it’s touristy . But if you haven’t walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to find beautiful, molten mozzarella from this 100-year-old institution waiting for you on the other side, you haven’t lived. Read more
Definitely worth the trip to Brooklyn! This place is cash only but they do have an ATM inside.
The best cheap pizza in New York. You can eat out for a twenty here, and you'll leave full and satisfied. The service is very much in keeping with the vibe however, not for the sensitive.
Grimaldi's serves consistently tasty thin crust pizzas , which are baked in a coal oven. The original owner of the restaurant , Patsy Grimaldi. Read more
Great location and great food, the pizza is different in a good way and it’s not over priced. Great lunch or date setting.
I had a simple fresh tomato slices and basil pizza but it couldn't be better. The taste was awesome. But beware: this place is really popular, so you might have to wait a while for a table.
Definitely worth the wait! Small pizza is enough for 3 people to share, large works too depending on how hungry. Also, try the "Olde Brooklyn" root beer , very tasty! :)
Small pizza perfect for 2, specially if you're hungry! Their mozzarella cheese is authentic and amazing. And the place is super cozy and free wifi !!
Almost as famous as their astounding pizza is the long line , but the wait is well worth it. These whole pizzas (no slices) go for $12-16 & should be eaten in Brooklyn Bridge Park . - Green Guide Editor
Located in DUMBO, Grimaldi's is known to tread on the touristy side, but their pizza is really tasty and it has a real New York feel. Make sure you bring cash - they don't take cards.
It was good, but not as good as I expected it to be. The pizza was fine- flavor 8/10, crust 6/10, price/value 8/10, service 10/10 (covid sunday, no line , attentive). The caesar salad could be better
Good pie, fast service—no booze so maybe better for families with kids-went to pass time during rush hour heading back to Philly from JFK -did the trick but could have used a cold one with my pie!
Allllways with a looong queue in front. They do not accept credit cards, cash only . Plastic plates, forks and knives. Bıt the pizzas they serve are UNVELİEVABLE. They are amazaingly TASTY. Must try
If it's a nice day out, get it to go and eat it by Jane's Carousel. There are several tables & a nice view of the Brooklyn Bridge , Manhattan Bridge , and Manhattan skyline.
thin crust coal-fired pizza w/ real mozzarella ???? cash only no slices! eat + walk back over the BB towards the city ????
Great pizza . Totally worth standing in line a bit to get a table. The “small” pizza was anything but small... more than enough for 2 hungry adults
Cash only !!! Went at lunch time no lines got a small pizza with 6 slices which is enough for 2. I like the pizza here more than Lombardi's. Great thin crust pizza and yummie with red crust peppers !
Long queues, but worth the wait under the Brooklyn Bridge . Food and service are excellent. Much better than Lombardi's in Little Italy, and very reasonable prices.
Haven't been here since last year, they moved a few doors down to a bigger location. The new location is much better than the old. This pizzeria is definitely worth the wait!!
We had to wait in line for a little while but man it was worth it. All the rave reviews were spot on. I would be willing to return if I make it back to New York.
Grimaldi's, like Lombardi's is a classic, historic name in the pizza business that has unfortunately dropped in goodness as it expanded. Fine. The pizzas still great.
Homemade sauce , fresh mozzarella , soft ricotta , spicy pepperoni , salty capers , hand-cut mushrooms and basil decorate the best offerings. There's also a white pizza (no sauce) and calzones to nosh on.
Amazing but the only take cash. No slices, so if you go alone, you will have to order a hole pizza .
Firstly note this is a cash only place- there is an atm upstairs though. Best pizza of my life.
One of the best pizzas I have ever tried. The hour line up was well worth it. Or skip the line by ordering take out .
The most amazing pizza I've ever tried. Delicious and not expensive . It's a must in Brooklyn.
A great classic pizza , charcoal oven fired and everything you want a NYC pizza to be
- Being a block away from the most gorgeous scenes Brooklyn, NY has to offer- Enjoying (hands down) the best pizza NY has to offer- Totes affordable and WELL WORTH THE WAITLet's see.... yes please!
The BEST pizza in NY. Skip the cannoli and have dessert down the street at the ice cream shop at Brooklyn Bridge Park .
One of the most deservedly famous Bk pizzerias . Lines get long with good reason. Take a date for an evening walk across the Brooklyn Bridge , then swing under the far end for a pie & a bottle of wine .
Filling and Good, fresh ingredients . Mushroom pie was damn good. A bit hot upstairs but well worth the wait! Oh yeah, always a line but other location less crowded !

Has gotten very touristy and prices vs what you get... Still a good pizza but it isn't as good as Grimaldi's was that local haunt (before the Reno and the expanded locations). Worth trying once
A classic New York pizzeria for a reason. There are no fancy toppings or lavish decor, but sharing a pie with friends on the red-and-white checkered tablecloths is all you'll need for a good time.
I had the basic pizza with mushroom and jalapeño and oh my god, it was so good. Much better than Julianna's.
You can eat enough pizza to feel full for days later, because you don't want to stop. Beautiful thin crust pizza baked in a real coal-fired brick oven , tastes amazing.
If you're vegan, just get a cheeseless pie loaded with their excellent vegetable toppings. The sauce and crust are still To Die for. - Nicole Solomon
The best pizza, lasagna and baked ziti in Brooklyn, period. Delicious food and fantastic customer service. :) - Patricia Falona
