The Elephant swim is amazing and should not be missed. Go 15 minutes after it has started and the crowd will be thinner and you can grab a front row view .

The best way too see the animals is the tour "Wake up the wild"watch the lion 's eat breakfast and Feed the giraffe's. Up close and personal. GO ON Wednesday, you will get me as your tour driver!!!!!

Your best option for lunch is the 3 piece fried chicken combo. Good quality, and great value compared with just about everything else. Can take a few extra minutes to cook.

Birds of prey show is awesome. Totally open air and a number of birds shown! And I've seen a LOT of animal/bird shows!!

Some things to do:*Go early on a weekend.*Take the tour bus inside than your car, its one hour long bus ride and you save the scratches.*Go to the elephant, parrot and birds of prey shows .

Can bring own food, which saves money. Also, driving through the reserve in your own car is free (though not without risk).

I've taken cars through a few times without incident. The bus doesn't linger, and skips some of the side loops where the best views can be had. Skip it.

This doesn't take too long. The safari drive is about 1 and a half hours. Some animals do come up close to you.

With over 1000 different exotic animals, make sure you see the Parrot Paradise!

Buy passes in advance at places like Costco. Save ~$6.00/adult and ~$4.00/child.

If you are really quiet you can get really close to the lions . I took a picture 6 inches from the lions face.

Bring your own food. The entire food operation is a shit show.Venders are under-prepraed and under staffed. Animals are great though!

Carry your own water bottle to save on money. Everything is well maintained and not easy to get lost.

I wish they would use more of the $ from ticket sales towards the animals. The pet 's corner needed a lot of TLC. Most birds were shivering; feathers damaged &in bad shape; 1 bird appeared to be dead.

Much nicer in older days, now too many visitors results in bumper to bumper traffic jams which really detracts from the park . Perhaps an expansion is in order?

On a hot day go for a ride on the boat! Nice easy breeze!
