Good place to talk with Mauritians and make good shops. Key word is bargain. If you're a tourist they maybe charging twice the price, so feel free to bargain. Be aware for pickpockets.

Chaos personified, if you are a tourist you are instantly a target for the merchants, an uneasy atmosphere but I'm glad a briefly experienced it

We've been there when it is nearly closed, but overall feel that it is quite dirty and unkempt, although cuirous with spices and fruits and things like that. Not a fan to be honest.
