Fried chicken (Ayam merah) + salted egg + mixed gravy + cucumber + white rice = RM5.30. Go early if you don't want to wait the 30 mins long queue. Drink the famous barley limau ais.
One of the top nasi ganja in Ipoh. The curry taste was delicious..Comes with a piece of chicken , half salted egg , cucumber and curry sauce combination makes a great yummy meal. Price was reasonable
Gravy is real spicy, chicken is normal and some said it's nothing special(tho place is packed out) but the whole combo works as a very tasty plate of Nasi.I like it & would come back for it again. 7/10
Had to try it since I’m already here. The que is for takeout orders. Just go in and look for empty tables. The food was basic, it’s overhyped. The caramel custard was delicious. Give it a try!
Not sure what the hell they put in the Nasi Ganja but after a buddy introduced it to me, it's been a must pit stop now every time I'm in Ipoh. You've been warned. (Ask for more kuah because YOLO) 8/10
Standard chicken + salted egg + veg is a reasonable Rm5.20. Curry is thick, it's good and appetising . Packed during lunch peak hours. Probably best in Ipoh, but I have tasted better outside.
This was the queue at 10am. Curry is nice and spicy . Sambal kelapa matched it well . RM5.50 for basic of rice + chicken + salted egg
Kopi ais is the BOMB!! The breakfast menu is awesome. Try the roti goyang, ban stim and the kastad karamel.
Delicious rice with the ayam merah goreng . Curry is thick and definitely can finish with the rice given. Long queues & by 3pm their rice sold out. Caramel pudding sold out too, didn't get to try it.
Must come here before 1pm. Find a seat first if you were to eat in! Take aways must queue. While you're here try the caramel custard and iced lime barley
RM5.30 for the ayam merah and cucumbers . Went there at almost 3pm, it was still full house. Find a table first before ordering. Food tastes delicious and cheap !
The ayam madu, pedal and kas kas are awesome. Seatings are limited. However, you can tapau and eat at another shop few shops away too
If you see people queuing outside the restaurant , they actually Q for tapau/take away. If you wanna dine in, just go inside and have a seat!
The nasi ganja is good! I had mine right before i went back to kl and felt a little sleepy afterwards. Not sure if that's the side effect of eating the nasi ganja lol
Yes, talk of the town and must try! To you can try for the 1st time. Portion is just nice and reasonable. Not too spicy .
Unique feature of the curry . Can't compare it with Penang's Nasi Kandar because the texture and mixture of the 'kuah campuq' been presented in different ways. Worth to try!
Want of the must try food in Ipoh. Do not line up if you are not "tapao". Just walk to the restaurant . You will seat very fast as the staff is very efficient.
Grab a table, don’t sit in line ...that’s just for to go orders! The chicken can be over cooked, but the curry is great and the sambal a great touch!
If you live/stay in town , better take away as the table rarely empty. Try the caramel custard . Its delicious.
Ayam Merah and Salted Egg are the must order here, Curry taste was awesome as well . One of the best nasi Kandar in Ipoh town . -Penang Kia Food Critique-
Also known as Restoran Yong Suan. Queue if you're not having the scrumptious Nasi Ganja here. Or else, just secure a table and the waiter will serve you in minutes!
Aiyaaa... All comment about the ganja ka?? Hehehehe... Just try the shops Kopi Ais or their Asam Limau Ais.. Worth the RM's you gonna pay.. Gave the Starbuck's or whatever run for the money...
You can't say you been to Ipoh if you haven't heard of or eaten at Yong Suan. Nasi Ganja at its best. Prepared to queue until the end of the block during holidays.
Q to take away and have seat if dining in. Had ayam merah and sotong. Reasonable price Rm 24 for two pax.
Good price. Great food. Must try their signature meal Nasi ganja ayam merah.
Signature nasi (fried chicken half salty egg veg ) topped with sambal and curry sauce taste good...can try. Very LONG queue for takeaway but dine in is fast.Price reasonable.
Nothing special with their gravy+rice, but their fried chicken is special, taste great! The let down is that it is super crowded , with waiting before a seat found !
Order the Ice barley lime . Nice combination and taste refreshing against the spicy nasi.
Kedai Kopi Yong Suan, a chinese named coffee shop . indeed this is where the famous Nasi Kandar of Ipoh was located. Some would call it Nasi Ganja or Marijuana Rice !
For first timer, queueing is only for take-aways!! Straight away find a table if you're planning to dine in and they'll serve you
Why the food was named as "nasi ganja"? A lot of people got addicted of this spicy chicken for years. So if u never tried before, think twice before u taste them :D
Very nostalgic and muhibbah environment. Curry was good and I especially love the kopi peng and roti bakar ????????
The chicken is hard and i dont know why people willing to line up for it and a plate of nasi ganja is RM5.80.
The best nasi ganja and caramel pudding ! A must!!
Curry is not so spicy , salted egg has shrink in size and the fried chicken is slightly dry /tough. I would say the quality has decrease slightly since my last visit. Price increases to Rm 6 each
The fried chicken was a bit tough and dry, but the rice and gravies were great!
tried to see what's the hyped about and was disappointed, definitely able to find better nasi kandar in other places. and the staff here is also quite rude to customers.
Good price, awesome taste. Just let the taste flow through your taste buds.
The menu is very simple...ayam merah + telor masin + sayur...the result is AWESOMEE... 4.5 star...
If you're new to this restaurant , don't queue, grab a table first..

They said here is the best. Boleh la makan. 7/10. Nasi ganja Depa kata.
The legendary nasi ganja hidden in a chinese coffee shop . Trip Advisor certified too. But sambal was too sweet
Just find a seat and order even there is a long queue
The best nasi kandar in town for over years! Must try when in Ipoh.
Their nasi ganja is a must try.
Best Nasi Kandar in Ipoh .. Love the Ayam Merah & Ikan Appollo (Sotong)
Worth a try only but not as what the name is! Penang Nasi Kandar is still the BEST!
