My desert Fortress of Solitude. I love this place! So beautiful and peaceful . The Superstition Mtns. are majestic and cactus is strewn all around. A great stop if you want to escape PHX for a bit.
Killer hiking here in the winter months, far too warm in the summer. Siphon Draw is my favorite trail - extremely challenging, but very fun and with a stellar view from the plateau up top.
Very well maintained and nicely landscaped. Great hikes and not too far from the city . Perfect location.
If you have a few hours it's worth the hike . Lots of mountain bike trails too
Great place to hike outside of the parks in city .
Bring a camera and come during spring bloom or sunset ! Bring cash, not expensive but worth it! Clean up after yourself, stay hydrated and layer up/layer down!!!
Popular park : gets crowded ! Great signage, though.
Excellent camping facility and well maintained bathrooms/showers. Beautiful views of the Superstition mountains .
Bring what you need, because there aint nothing here.
Nice hiking trails ! Always beautiful!
Cactus and rock formations
Back to climb some rocks
Hike trails are great
Don't touch the jumping cactus ...
Find the Geo Cache off the Siphon Draw Trail
Hike up to Green Boulder and back... about 4 miles round trip
The Wind Cave hike is moderately difficult, but well worth the trip. - Ben Chacko
A desert jeep tour is a must. Apache Trail Jeep Tours offer the best tours. You can do the Jeep tour in the morning and check out the rest of the town the rest of the day. Lots of fun! - Mary Dreyer
Try the homemade ice cream in the shop next to the restaurant, delicious! - Staci Tousignant
