Stayed here for the 2nd time. Great place for breakfast is on Leman St. (coming out of the hotel go right to Leman St., cross it, go left and on the right side) is Lemans Coffee Shop .
A good Travelodge, dont let the DLR train line put you off of this location, the glass is about a meter thick and you can't really here much transit noise! Breakfast is good, staff are great, pukka!
Right next to the railway line but it is not too noisy . The street outside is quite dark and in need of repair but far better coming from east than west. Nice friendly staff and a typical Travelodge!
If you're going to eat, have the pizza and try to get a room facing the road , train tracks are very noisy ! Oh and check in early otherwise you'll get bumped off to another travelodge!
Key Card let's you out if the hotel through a dodgy alley way and into the other part of the hotel be quick it's spooky. The card doesn't let you back in !!
If you forgot your earplugs you get them for free!
Rooms 3 to 5 are across dingy, worrying alleyway. Single room, unusual for Travelodge but friendly staff , & hotel handy for DLR
Get a room on the opposite side of the building to the train tracks !
AC has been disconnected in rooms so can get warm. Noisy when trains run past especially with windows open because it's warm.
Right next to railway line and despite what other tips on here say - its really really noisy
Ok if you are looking for the basics however you better bring a blanket with you as the hotel doesn't provide any and the rooms are quite cold.
In a word: Depressing.
Iron and board from reception.
No air con / lights ? Activate circuit with keycard in holder near door ..
Worst Travelodge I've ever stayed in. Lack of air con is shocking too - only stay here in winter if you must!
Second time here. Beds are fantastic and the hotel is very quiet at night. Good value! - Matthias Bauw
Pre book tickets to beat the queues! Loads to do here and very well laid out, with lots of info to educate as well. - Martin Mitchell
Friendly staff, a selection of ales and a jukebox to boot. Good at catering for group events too, we had our work Christmas breakfast here (8am Guinness and a fry up) - Jack Jenkins
