A beautiful spanish town with lots of lovely little streets and shops. You can still eat and drink for good money just go more backstreet. Hit the beaches early as they get very busy.

Spectacular views and beautiful traditional Spanish street surround this area. Be aware, there are a number of beggars asking for change around and about.

If you get here before (just) sunset ..... the view of the Sierras Tejeda are just wonderful!

Wonderful view but when you get down to the water you see how polluted it is. Definitely not recommended for swimming , perhaps for sunbathing :)

Great view , but very busy.

There is an urban legend which says if you stand in the small circle in the star on the raised platform at the end of the Balcon and make a wish then it will come true. Not for lottery wins, though

El Castillo Bajo o La Batería, con estos dos nombres era conocido históricamente este lugar, en el que existió una fortaleza construida en el siglo XVI. Alfonso XII la bautizó como Balcón de Europa.
