The BBQ is fabulous! No frills, lively atmosphere . We had the Sampler platter and everything was delicious. The cornbread even comes with honey drizzled on top - perfect!

You can smell the smoke down the road - a great sign of a real BBQ joint . Indoor or outdoor seating - be ready to wait a bit. Peanuts on the table and some great homemade sauce .

Awesome! The waitress was a pure diamond. The food awesome. Beers lacking. The atmosphere very cool. Wait is long, but it’s worth it. You’ll get seated outside easier.

Really good Texas style barbecue . The brisket was great and their spicy bbq sauce was on pint. Pulled chicken was dry but the sauce made it a really good combo!

Fun to sit at long tables with folks from all over. Know that they may be holding lots of tables for big groups, even during busiest times. Expect to wait.

We had the sampler, which was a bit of everything. Sausage , pulled pork , etc. The smoked ribs were the thing we'd come back for. Excellent.

Pulled pork sandwich was amazing on our quick lunch break between antelope canyon and monument valley. Highly recommended! Now maybe just add some mac n cheese to the menu? ;)

Half rack of ribs and homemade BBQ sauce !!!!!! I played the tambourine with the music duo. Lots of fun. Great atmosphere. You can tell these guys love what they do.

The rib plate is great! Get the apple cobbler for desert with black sugar and cinnamon ice cream and you will be all set :)

The nachos are made with EZ Cheese and come with jalapeños and the meat of your choice. Chicken is the way to go.

Service was good. The waitresses were courteous & welcoming. The beans were surprisingly spicy , which probably came from the jalapeño . It was so good!

The best BBQ seems to come from places that resemble gas stations . Outdoor seating , live music , line dancing , and great food.

Big John's is a former gas station . As a result, atmosphere is pretty sterile. But food is good and very cheap .

This place was mediocre and not that cheap . $7 got you about 1/2 cup of pulled meat in a cheap little burger bun . It was kind of greasy and the sauce that accompanied it was nothing interesting.
