An architectural gem, but not a museum piece. Great pints and craic. The snug is wonderful. Fav time of year is Christmas and the Stag getting a red nose.
Great pub to pop into during the day or for an evening pint. Can get very busy and packed in the weekend. There is an upstairs also but it can be hard to get a drink here. Well worth a visit though.
One of the bartenders was wearing a shirt that said “voted best tourist bar ” which I feel like isn’t actually a compliment. Oh well . It’s cozy and the beer is still beer .
The staff is very friendly and always good for a joke. The Guinness and the food are both delicious. A perfect pub located in the city centre but not on any of the busy streets.
I think this was my favorite Irish bar of them all. Great staff , and the seafood chowder is fairly legit for a bar . Randomly people started playing music and everyone was singing. It was great.
Great pub , love the quasi speak easy entrance from Dame Street, awesome old school decor, classic bartenders and fresh properly poured Guinness
Friendly atmosphere , great Guinness from the bartender , cool live music...wonderful place to enjoy a few drinks after a long dau
Amazing! The staff is kind and helpful! The soup of the day is a MUST!
Gorgeous interior, fantastic food (particularly The Irish Burger ) and really friendly staff . It's a must-do
Live music , comedy shows, and an all around great atmosphere. One of the best bars in Dublin.
The Dame District Christmas Market is on this week. Stags Head have Mulled wine , Hot Apple Punch and Hot Whiskeys and Hot Port to keep you warm. On the street Live Music every day.
Really nice and good guinness ! But u have to get there early or u won't have a table! Anyway, ita's a good place to have a drink! ;)
My favourite pub in Dublin . Beautiful interiors and the food here is delicious! I'd call this a gastropub .
Great pub , nice atmosphere, delicious food and good beer . We had a great time there! :-)
Check out the Brown Bread Mixtape upstairs the last Wednesday of every month. Doors at 8 ! A fiver in with a drink for one of the best nights in Dublin
Our first pub in Ireland. Fish and Chips are great. Fresh guinness . Bartenders were very nice and made room for our 14 person group.
Enjoy a breath of fresh air when visiting the Stag’s Head, just a stone throw from the buzz of Grafton St. Here you will cross into a landmark with enough History it could occupy a library
Proper Victorian era pub , the snug behind the end of the bar (to the left as you're looking at it) is one of the best in the city .
Maybe the best pub in Dublin . Amazing Guinness .
Authentic pub . Often no music playing, just people having conversation. Friendly staff and good beer !
Wonderful place. Great Guinness . Fast service . Scenes from the film Educating Rita were filmed here.
Great Guinness and amazing Alaskan Stag Head... Who currently doesn't have a name!!
Cheap beer good music and lovely staff : perfect for before drinks
Fish , chips , Guineas and authentic atmosphere!
Great place! Great staff , reasonable prices and. Nice location. Will be back.
Great free comedy night called Comedy Crunch on a Sunday and Monday night. Top stuff.
Great Guinness , live music downstairs. Always busy..
Great pub featuring a large stag's head above the bar . Still looks the same way it looked when opened in 1890. No music playing and very warm inside.
An authentic old pub , we loved it!:-)
Good atmosphere, nice staff , a few tapped ales and of course Guinnes
There's a room@upstairs with a bar - great for a function.
Very welcoming place, with a beautiful old-fashion style
Pulled pork sandwich and lamb shank were excellent.
Awesome comedy crunch on sundays and tuesdays! Defo a place to go, pints in front cool too! :)
Very nice! Spacious for drinking and go with friends.
Plenty of bar space, great selection of drinks- recommend O'haras Pale Ale
Nice place. A bit silent though (wednesday afternoon)
Built in 1770, The Stag's Head is frequently a film bacdrop as well as an Irish postage stamp. Try the steak and chips .
Lovely place with good traditional Irish food
Thai wings ! Try it. Strong & Amazing. 😍
Free comedy show was hilarious AND included free ice cream during the break. How could you not?
Place, beers , everything
Classic watering hole in Dublin. One of my favs!
Ukulele Tuesdays upstairs is a great random night out!
A proper old man pub ! They also do lovely hot ports 🍷
It's worth a visit, if you want to see a historic pub .
Order the lambs liver or cabbage and bacon
Touristy but good. Baked brie was yum.
Very cozy and atmospheric. Don't buy burger though - it's VERY dry

The atmosphere is great, the live music fantastic. What else what would you want from an Irish bar? Oh yeah, good beer. Guess what? They have it too :) - Dorota Syc
One of my favourite Dublin pubs. A pick n mix of characters, beards to beat the band. Pints are great and the only regret I have is not buying that Bill O'Herlihy painting - Paul Farrell
Best roast beef salad in Dublin. Friendly staff and old world atmosphere. - John Gavin
Oyster stout and courgette & brie soup are the best things in the world! - Silvia Adriana
Family run, great music, a legion of faithful regulars, fair prices, and a mighty pint of Guinness? Yes please. - Bluepaw
