Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple (Simplified Chinese: 观音堂佛祖庙) is a traditional Chinese temple in Singapore. The temple is of significance to the Chinese in Singapore, & is believed to bring worshipers good luck after praying to the Kuan Yin (观音) Bodhisattva, the Goddess of Mercy.

Amazing power and energy. Sitting quietly in the temple watching the hordes of people come through is a beautiful experience. Pls respect worshippers.
Local Chinese Temple to Guanyin (mother of Mercy). Tip: visit one of the local flower or incense vendors for an offering before entering.
Buy flowers for offerings from the outside vendors. Joss stick , pray, rem to make a donation, collect "loose" flowers and grab a sweet :) All have some sorta Chinese significance .

The blessings here is pretty good, that I don't mind travelling all the way here & purposely go through the CBD gantry on weekdays for slightly lesser crowd than weekends.
Visit this major temple in Singapore to feel the rich Buddhist Culture of Singapore. It will be very packed on the weekends with devotees and tourists . MUST VISIT.
Nice food at the hawker center with the kwa chap store and fish soup .. ???? The temple very Chung also..must go place for the Buddhist

A good place to cleanse your mind. Very crowded but well maintain. Appreciate the culture happening all around.
8 Dec 2015, Tue 11.50am: Beware of fake charity outside temple . Just encountered whole bunch of youngster being briefed in front of temple to start their 'Operation Renewal' "charity".
Large crowd every weekend especially 1st and 15th of chinese calendar unless go before 12pm.
A must-go during Chinese New Year . People fight to put the 1st joss stick past midnight :)
Beware,some flowers are sprayed with spray paint for the fanciful color. Avoid buying flowers with such vendors. It may cause minor ir mqjor skin problem if use such to bath.
Ample carpark lots at nearby The Bencoolen basement carpark during weekdays ;-)

Parking is a big headache here esp on weekends. Can try parking at NTuc learning hub and walk from there.
When they ask u go opposite fir further prayers when u consult those fellas outside for ur "Chiam" or "Qian" please do not go! Con job!

Seen the artifacts ? Visit the Chinese Cultural Shop at 284 River Valley Rd many limited collectors items to treasure

Parking is still a big prob esp right now - Chinese new year and at 330am!!gosh!!
Next to Kwan im temple had very nice vegetarian restaurant there.... Must try if you have chance...

The main hall contained Kuan Yin, Da Moh, also known as Bodhidarma, Hua Tuo and Sakyamuni Buddha.
It's really only here that my heart is at it's ease.
