Famous for live squid sashimi ! Market has many different small shops, but the best are the little shops inside the side street.

Almost all the shops sell the same things - King crabs , Scallops , Squid , Melon . Prices displayed are on the high side and they are more than willing reduce the prices.

Dried Scallops in the Morning Market Square is quite cheap compared with other places but you need to know how to bargain. Enjoyed watching the live squid catching & dining after.

Try to catch the squid in the center of market and eat it in sashimi style. Or if you don't like the rare meat, buy crab and shell and go to the 2nd floor to pay for cooking it.

Enjoy and prepare your stomach for dumping the seafoods fresh and yummy

Fresh seafood produce and fruits for sale here. Best time to visit is 8-10am.

朝から賑わうが8時ごろともなると多くの観光 客が訪れるので、7時前あたりから行くのがオススメ。Better to walk around 7 o’clock or before to avoid crowd

函館駅前にある函館を代表する観光 スポット。海鮮丼 や刺身 など新鮮な魚料理 を出す食堂、雲丹や毛ガニ、その他水産加工品、農産物 やお菓子 を取り扱う市場 が人気です。昼以降も営業するお店もあります。

이곳의 가격이 과연 저렴한건지 판단이 안 서니 '한국에선 도저히 못 먹어볼 것 같다' 싶은 건어물만 소심하게 구입 해봅니다. 가격이 대체로 생각외로 비싸요.

海産物 がメイン ですが、野菜 も売ってます。そもそもは戦後の混乱期に、函館駅前の広場 横で農家が野菜 の立ち売りをしていたという闇市同然の市場 が出自だとか。
