I'm brown and I know how to cook fairly well . I came here with friends and we enjoyed literally everything. We had paneer tikka roll and Mumbai sandwich . I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
Best Vada Pav and Chai ever tasted in the Us. A must visit for someone who enjoys the experience. Drove 2 hours just for this and it was worth it.
Daily special was the way to go (paneer is delish)! Great selection of small plates to share with a big group. Fast service and fun spot!
Bhel Puri is a must. They also have the best chai I've had west of Asia. Seriously, though...get anything. Ask for Kemper (A.K.A. the best waiter , and the only reason we know this place exists).
Lunch is a casual time (with counter service) to enjoy the bold and bright flavors of Beard-nominated Meherwan Irani’s Indian street food .
Absolutely amazing. Will be craving this place for the rest of my life. Get the Thali .
Chicken pakoras are fantastic (so are the sauces that come with)! Try the not-too-sweet line ricky.
Okra fries are awesome! We had the thali to share and it was really good with chicken , we definitely recommend it
Vegan and gluten free options , just ask for that special menu. Okra fries and green mango chaat are amazing!

If you want authentic Indian food , then try Mela. It’s only a few blocks away and it’s where large Indian families go out to eat.
Go with a group and share. The plates are small, but everyone can try a little of everything.
The Chicken Tikka roll is a great wrap . The chaats are all tasty. Love the cocktails !
The okra fries are so amazing!!! Who would have thought??
Cocktails are good, try the Okra Fries for sure
The ambiance was pleasant and the servers were too, but the flavors were unenthusiastic. Try the Thali ; its lentils were good
Some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Be sure to try the Samosa Chaat .
Seriously some of the best Indian food in Asheville if not the best. Not stuffy and snobby. Sit outside during the summer.
Excellent food and plenty of vegan options .
I had bhei puri for the first time ever and I am in love! My husband raved about the fried okra . (Really!)
Do not miss the Bombay Chili Cheese Fries . Indian poutine !
Samantha Brown visited to film an episode of Places to Love.
The thalis are a great way to try a little bit of everything. The lime ricky was refreshing and the mango lassi was perfect.
behl puri and the butter chicken was better than the Sag . Authentic and som much taste
The okra fries were amazing. Definitely a must have.
Fantastic. Great lunch and better dinner . Affordable and perfectly balanced spices
Fantastic place. My go to in asheville
Their chaats and fish wraps are great and full of flavor!
Tasted Indian street food for the first time and all were delicious.
You can't go wrong with the Thali plate
I come from Mumbai and I can tell you that this place has some kickass chaat !
DSP and other crunchy appetizers . Uppadam good and tilapia wrap .
Not totally traditional, classic Indian. But, still awesome! They have more "street" food... Fun !
