The Mac Attack was everything I wanted... and more. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. A GREAT addition to downtown Hartford's emerging foodie scene.
The Bear bowl with the beans and meat was excellent & a bit spicy , although the brisket was a little dry in spots—add some BBQ sauce there. If you gray takeout , ask for utensils. We got none!!
Burnt ends should be your number one priority—with all that extra bark, it's the best part of the brisket . This is real deal KC barbecue and everything is excellent.
If you love barbeque , this is the place! Great variety of meats and sides. Mac and cheese is my favorite. Small place so you may have to share a table!
Watch the BBQ servers. They will shortchange you. By that I mean, if you order a multi meat combo you may end up with 4 ribs from the smallest pig and a slice of brisket . Don't be afraid to speak up.
You'd never really think about going to Connecticut for BBQ , but this place was impressive! The burnt ends melt in your mouth. The crispy rib appetizer is a must!

Got the Mac attack with burnt ends and it was delicious. Super large portions but the food is really tasty. Don't come here expecting to eat lightly.
Burnt ends ...no questions, just do it. Mix the Grizzly Ghost Pepper and Texas Pepper sauces ...nice bite but not killer hot. Did I mention the Burnt Ends ?

Burnt ends were delish. Sides of beans and mac & cheese were not even warm so that was sad but all in all good BBQ .
