Carpe Diem, I have been to Italy 10 times for work. I have eaten GELATO in Italy invented Gelato . CARPE DIEM IS 99.99... % AS GOOD AS ITALY!!! IF YOUR just passing thru Lafayette STOP and TRY IT.
It's all good. The people are kind, the gelato is creamy, the coffee is delicious, and I LOVE Carpe Diem!

You have to get the gelato affogato style. It's espresso dropped on top of the gelato (I suggest with Caramel )
