Beautiful sequoias , beautiful hiking trails along the river !
Easy drive compared to Sequioa national park . There are nice vista points when you drive down to Sequia- love it!
The Buena Vista hike , near Big Meadow Rd, is brief and fabulous. But pay attention to your pathway up -- mounting the rocks on top -- so you know how you'll descend. I recommend using poles.
Verizon has installed a new tower so cellphone coverage and 3G service now available in Grant Grove area. Also WiFi hotspot at lodge check-in lobby.
My favorite place in California. California also includes Yosemite and Lake Tahoe so that's saying something.
I was able to get a spot at the Azalea campground without reserving ahead of time.
Try John Muir Lodge lobby for free unsecured wifi . Ask front desk to reset it if it's not showing up. They are taking donations for a new router.
Nearly impossible to get connected to check in ANYWHERE inside Kings Canyon or Sequoia ... at least with AT&T. Best bet is to go with one of the Lodge WiFi connections , but 4SQ didn't like any check i
Loads of great landscape photography opportunities. Take a drive or hike the trails and have fun exploring!
Rae Lakes Loop is an intense and rewarding camping experience!
Don't miss the view on top of Moro Rock, it's breathtaking!
A good appetizer for Sequoia national park just to the south
So many fantastic hikes . No crowds and as beautiful as Yosemite.
Great scenic drive.
Awesome view of the landscape
This is the Ranger Station outside the park . Has park and forest info.
Be considerate and use the turn out when driving on the Scenic Byway
