Fun place! Strict Park Rangers like to flex their small amount of authority sometimes. But all in all great nature, prop a chair in the lake and soak in the sun.

Dogs aren't allowed in thr public swimming zone, but the Hawthorn turnoff had easy access.t to water, and very few people around. Entry costs $5/head, so come prepared and stay a while.

Call and make a reservation if you plan on camping overnight! Beautiful park ! If swimming - bring swim shoes .

The camp sites we had were very rocky.
