Dog friendly patio area . Also has Bocce ball and corn hole . You can tour the facility on your own, but I recommend at least doing the free tour (reserve online before you come--they sell out)
If you forgot to book the tour in advance, place your name on the waiting list and enjoy a beer or two while you wait. They have multiple cancellations each day.
For an intimate , 3 hour tour into the depths of what makes SN tick, check out the Beer Geek tour . Well worth the modest cost. T-shirt and growler included w/ ticket.
In 2016, this location was awarded LEED Platinum , making it the first production brewery in the US to achieve LEED’s highest honor. Take the LEED tour to learn more.
Impressive doesn’t begin to describe the infrastructure. Massive fermenters tower out of the facility, and rows of solar panels in the parking lot will help them attain LEED Gold, if not Platinum . Read more
Such a cool place. Beer , tours , food and amazing outdoor space with games. Get the lollipop chicken wings . This place isn’t too be missed if you’re in Asheville .
Venture down the Visitor Corridor, located upstairs from the taproom , to explore SN’s copper-clad brewhouse, get a real-time look at fermenting beer , and peep into the warehouse and packaging hall.
Beautiful setting. A Tapa menu is different from the Chico site. Outside patio and activities area. All in all, a jewel for the Asheville community.
The food is amazing. We had the duck fries , cheese tray, and pretzel . All delicious. This is the nicest brewery around. First class all the way!
The beers are fantastic! The atmosphere is wonderful and the outdoor areas look like an amazing place to hang out when it is sunny outside.
I fell in love with this place, they just need a hotel on premises to be perfect. Great for families as well .
The beer menu at the table is different than that over the bar . Be sure to read both so you do not miss a change to try a great beer !
Thank a is a destination brewery with lots to see and do. I especially like the environmental protections in our lace all over the grounds. Native plants, on-site garden , solar power, etc.
Food, beer and the great attitude of their employees. It's been a long time since I been at a business that all of the employees loved their job.
The Taproom brews their own beer not available anywhere else. Food is a little pricy but beer is extremely reasonable. Venison osso bucco was delicious.
You can spend a whole day here. Great selection of beer and restaurant is good. Make sure you walk down to lower park where there is barbecue and more beer
My fave was the polar IPA . The line outside goes pretty quick. They don’t do flights, but if you have some friends order a few pints to split!
Fun to sit in the backyard . The place felt like a Bass Pro Shops for beer . It was a little too much. But the beer is great!
This place is like Oz for beer lovers. Gorgeous facility . Great food & even better beer .
Obviously a great choice for beer , but the food was incredible. Top favorites were the curry dish and the mussels .
The Hazy Little Thing pairs well with the carolina bison steak . In fact, it’s currently the best item on an awesome, always changing menu .
German Style Kolsch is good, and the Classic! Go to the tap room and share some food with the fam! Duck fat fries , Cajun pizza , lamb ribs all good
What a great place! Beers readily available from the Sierra Nevada stable and also only available here! Music on the weekends in the outdoor amphitheater !
The free tour is fun, get to learn about their history/story, how they produce the beer , and you get to taste/sample lots of different beers .
Try a Resilience Butte County IPA to support the rebuilding of Paradise, CA. Over 1,400 breweries are participating with every dollar raised going to the Camp Fire Relief Fund.
The free tour is pretty great and informative if you can't book a paid one (they book weeks in advance ). Beer tasting included!
Very touristy but fun thing to do while in Asheville . Lots of good beers on tap . The lines look long but they move fast.
In the SN lab, they employ a state-of-the-art gas chromatograph to assist in hop aroma research and a high-performance liquid chromatograph for analyzing a wide array of beer ingredients.
Go for the Blueberry , bacon , and Gouda pizza ! It is Devine!
They also use a $200,000 Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) to help predict and uncover factors that might help improve beer flavor stability, such as mitigating the effect of pro-oxidants.
In 1980, the year Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. was founded by Ken Grossman, there were only 40 legacy breweries in existence. Today, there are over 8,000 breweries in the US.
Go to the upstairs bar to avoid the crowds and enjoy the second floor patio !
The Homebrew Shop, opened in 1976 by Sierra Nevada’s founder - Ken Grossman, is still open for business in downtown Chico, CA.
Great beer , with a self-guided tour while you wait for a table. Absolutely gorgeous facility !
