The food here is really good. This is a popular pub with half the tables reserved by 5pm because the locals know they get real ales and an intelligent menu, well presented. Definitely recommended.

Lovely large portions , service can be really friendly but isn't always. Swish selection of herbal infusions, coffee and chocolate .

They serve the Best Coleslaw I have ever tasted !

Don't bother ordering the 'large' fish and chips . Pathetic. Bead and butter was stale and not enough chips to feed a 5 year old.
Love this place. Ideal for a bike ride or even a kayak trip from Exeter quay. Busy in the summer, but plenty of space outside. Nice beers and ales and the food is pretty good as well. - Sam Humphreys
