Perhaps the best trail for viewing the optimal amount of native plants, the Hazelnut Trail takes you through dense vegetation to a height of about 800 feet before descending along a series of switchbacks to the valley of the Middle Fork.

Starting from the parking lot it's approx 2 m climb 1116 feet up. Trail is 3.7 m but to get back to parking lot it's another mile on a flat path
