amazing cocktail list , beautiful design, and inventive menu - make a reservation and enter through back of walter 's - try the chicken thighs and caesar salad
Loved it! We were seated at the ‘Sinatra’ table, a nook across the bar that is good for 3 people at most. Our waiter was very knowledgeable . I tried blue crab salad and trout , both very tasty.
This is a terrific hidden gem behind Walters- go thru Walters to the door in the rear. The food is the best Japanese I've had in Brooklyn maybe all of NYC. Truly a find. Romantic space too. eat up!
Go to the back of the Brooklyn brunch spot and through the door, and you’ll enter another dimension. Karasu features non-traditional dishes like tagliatelle with lobster and smoky butter. Read more
Love love love this place. Speak-easy feel, amazing Japanese food , great service. Taylor as the 'hostess ' is very on-top-of-it and a great ambassador for the entire experience.
Cool speakeasy in the back of Walter’s . More “Japanese inspired” than true Japanese. They do have a Suntory Highball machine tho!
Absolutely everything was amazing. Waiters , drinks, food (the fried chicken is outstanding) in summary...wonderful!
Great vibe, cool Art Deco lighting, and super friendly bartenders . Cocktails are amazing!!
Worth the wait! We strolled in on a busy Friday and waited for a seat at the bar . Great cocktails & cool atmosphere
Hawkeye highball + tonkatsu sandwich + 5:30pm = best happy hour anywhere. This neighborhood is lucky to have this place.
Shrimp lobster noodle soup is mild, but oh so comforting. All the raw bar small dishes are delicious and exciting!
Order the sweet potato with sesame butter. Skip the curry donburi .
The tonkatsu and fried chicken thighs are out of this world
Excellent cocktail list . Tonkatsu was tasty. Tables were full, but bar seats were available (Sunday night).
Karaage , Nasu Age, Kamo Soba , and Ikura Don were fantastic, along with elevated cocktails .
The hamachi and the karaage are must orders. Cocktails are fantastic, very cool space
Rib eye for two was incredible- one of my favorite steaks in the city .
The vibe is even cooler than I expected. The chicken thighs are a must!
Let the waitress tell you what to get and enjoy a fine evening. Udon is v good

Great drinks, but food is totally unsatisfactory.
Makarel was delish. Service by wait staff woman was atrocious. Truly.

It tastes as good as it looks but don’t eat too much. You’ve got BIG plans later 🤠.
Service is excellent and the drinks were fantastic. We ordered a few dishes: gyoza , greens, and lobster tagliatelle . Pass on all of them.
Everything was wonderful! Great cocktails , excellent+knowledgeable staff , and delicious food. 5 teddy bears . 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻
Super expensive food! Paid $15 for a very small portion of sashimi . Waited for 20 mins.
