This is a very old facility and I'm surprised that it has not been sold off. The restaurant is good for a hotel and the wait staff is excellent.
Here for work!! Had a great spacious suite ! Also great for simultaneous events , which I was apart of ! Refrigerator yes no microwave .
Good hotel , AC is turned off during the winter months, but works well during the summer. Still no need for AC with the mild temps here.
Depending on what room you get the AC may not work. Many of the room windows won't open so if you need a cool room to sleep you might have to change rooms until you find one with a functioning AC syst
The rooms are nothing special, but the central location of the hotel puts you within walking distance of most of Anchorage's sights.
Alaska is a beautiful state , but it is not known for its cities . The Hilton is one of the better hotels in downtown Anchorage and perfect for business.
If you have an AT&T wireless device, you get a free Wifi connection on that device.
This Hilton is run-down and threadbare. Desperately in need of a renovation. Stay in the west tower if you must as the AC is unreliable in the older main tower.
My Hilton honors get me free breakfast and evening appetizers . :)
No free internet but beds are comfy , and in downtown so everything is walking distance. Love the pillows ! Breakfast buffet pricey but good
Cheapest parking that is close by is at 197 w 2nd Ave. $2 for 5 pm to 9 am.
No trash bags in the bathroom garbage cans. Ew. Room so small, I was uncomfortable—not worth $200!! Girl at counter with heavy foreign accent, could hardly understand her. AWESOME COFFEE IN ROOM!!!
This hotel has a great location. Book it. And love it.
Tip the bellman $ and u will b well taken care of!!
The newly renovated fitness center is very nice. Lots of cardio & resistance equipment.
Everything is FREE, except for my wine and beer
I am always lost here
Overpriced valet parking , good view , and adequate gym
Worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Will never stay here again, and recommend you do the same
Walls are paper thin.
Frequented often by puck sluts
What is a puck slut?
The seafood chowder has a great flavor with chunks of fish. Makes the meal special…except the made me drink water!???? - Janelle Bostic
Very attentive, and nice. Their breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had in a while. And their prices are competitive with the rest of Anchorage. - Jr Couch
Hotel Captain Cook is the best hotel in Alaska. Period. It's not perfect, but it's the best. They have an event planning dream team. I got engaged and married here in 2015. The Crow's Nest is great! - Abigail Turner
They have swimming pool make sure that you bring your bathing suit - Ashley S.
James and staff are fantastic, really makes you feel welcome! - Brown Bear Knows Best
Great beer, and possibly the best fish I have ever had. Get the sockeye or halibut, both incredible! - Josh Jones
Food is awesome. Halibut and salmon sandwiches, the burgers, the calamari- all great! Full bar, great beer & wine selection. Perhaps best testimonial is that is can be hard to find a seat at times! - Martin Eldred
Amazing food and beer. If you even remotely like fish you have to try the Halibut Fish and Chips! - Aaron
