Given a room at the far end of the hotel in part of the building smells moldy and no AC available in that part of hotel or room.Reception saw me carrying many items and still directed me to the stairs

Surprisingly good stay. Comfy beds . Fantastic breakfast ( don't miss Stornoway black pudding ) and good autumn special rate. Just off M6 and great view .

Huge amount of football transfer deals are concluded here for NorthWest Clubs. The food was surprisingly excellent. Brilliant scampi

The free WiFi is crap. You put your key in a slip in the wall to run the lights, which of course means it's very easy to leave the key behind. Service at dinner was ok, but crap at breakfast .

Dog rooms positioned next to an exit for easy access ????????

When I stayed here both the bar & restaurant had run out of most things on the menu and the rooms were so warm I didn't sleep. Not a great experience.

Here for the Kathleen Ferrier bursary competition, had to leave without finishing our breakfast , very slow when we stressed we were leaving early! Staff mumble and don't smile!

Recommend getting the code for the exit prior to leaving from the staff members.

Went for lunch . Menu was very basic and if you did not want a sandwich you had nothing to choose from. Sandwiches were lovely nevertheless
