UNESCO World Heritage Site: 438

Challenging to walk this section of the wall but will experience the full effect of the wall. Arrive early (before 9:00 am) as loads of tour buses started arriving then. Beautiful.
if you walk on south west part of Badaling, you can still enjoy the silence of Wall as most people walk towards north east part of it. Read more
The view is breathtaking! Waited 34 years to see this amazing several century year old marvel. How this wall was built is amazing! Bring water & a gopro to record your journey uphill.
When the wall goes up a slope , the floor is a slope too, not stairs. It’s wicked hard to walk up some of these and I’m sure it’s pretty close to the limit of what’s possible without suction cups!
This is a legit workout, don’t carry extra crap and wear shorts & t-shirt, to you’ll thank me later. Those ancient guys were like Billy goats , this is tough for us! ???? ️♀️
Unforgettable experience. Just be prepared for the climb ! In some areas the steps are very steep and uneven.
To get here cheaply, take a subway train to Xizhimen Station (CNY2 fare). Next to it is the Beijing North Train Station . From here buy the S2 train ticket (CNY6 fare). Dedicate a whole day for this.
My review in a word would be "excessive" I'd recommend just walking a little of it. We did miles and all you see is more wall. Go for sure but not too long, you won't see anything new.
Get here by bus 877 for just 12RMB. The way down to the bus stop is much better to do it with the slidding cars. Real man gets to tower 8, com'on sissi girls!!!
A must see if you are near Beijing. It can be crowded at times so be prepared. Bring some snacks and water to make the climb easier. Be careful because it can be slippery.
There’s a reason it’s one of the Seven Wonders. Just don’t try to walk and take pictures at the same time. The uneven steps can sneak up on you.
The climb is STEEP in many places. Almost 70 degrees and handrails are not for tall people. Go left to see unfinished section but it is 4 towers away. Pray no rain or slippery = real danger
If you're able, take the steps rather than the incline or cable car . The crowds will be much less in these areas. The view goes on forever. Everyone should go at least once.
It's really a Great Wall. No doubts what so ever. It's better to go up by cable car and come down from the tower 4. It takes minimum of 3 hours. If taken rest in between its 4 hours or more.
Too crowded , difficult to get a good shot because of that. Would recommend visiting another spot at the great wall. But for those with difficulties for getting around, there'e the cable car .
Man made wonder, must visit for sure to appreciate the effort went into its creation.
Take the gondola up for 140RMB or 200RMB, depending on group size. From the top, take pictures and decide how gnarly steep you want to hike ... options!
If you are taking the S2 train : You don't really have to buy the Great Wall + Museum ticket bundle on board.
One of the most exciting sightseeing in the world! Buy very crowded
Overrun by tourists during national holidays! Everyone around is taking photos.
If you take the back road , you can ride a bike uphill all the way to the main gates.
My impression is that Great Wall at Badaling is one of the most commercialized parts of the Great Wall - It's tourist-friendly but true explorers won't enjoy it very much.
Amazing! Freedom! The best view ! Number one place you must visit before you die...
Best place to be !! But it may be crowded .
Beautiful views but be prepared to spend the whole day there, distances are longer than they appear.
If you have the Beijing IC Card, you can use that to get from Beijing North to Badaling instead of queuing up for a ticket. Saves a lot of time.
The best check in that I'll likely ever have! Keep walking and it'll get super quiet !
You've had better to take the cable car directly go the too gate then enjoy the great wall’s details by slowly walking down.
Must visit at least once in your lifetime!
Take 1 ride up by cablecar (100¥) and 1 ride down by slide (80¥)
Forget about pm 2.5, forget about polluted air. You've got pure air, green trees and blue sky here.
Its a great historical monument , 5000 years old and still standing ... wow. I have been here twice and going back again.. .love it
Tickets are only available on cash. No bankcard payment, no alipay/wechat payment are acceptable. No nearby ATMs were available. So must take cash to avoid any inconvenience.
CNY40 for entry to the wall for an adult.
Walk the badaling side don't use the tram or cable car
Amazing and disappointing how fast foods grow up in that environment
Great scenic view of Great Wall but way too many people
Very steep but challenge every visitor to climb up
Hiking shoes . Water. Snacks . TOILET PAPER. If you're walking the great wall, you'll need all of those. #trustme
Plan ahead and don't use the public bus unless you feel like fighting! !!!
Bring your walking shoes and a picnic !
Be there early. I was there at 08.00 on dec 26 and there was already a few buses filled with people. I managed to outrun them and get larges parts of the mountain for myself
Get ready to climb with your sports shoes on. But, don't forget to carry a bottle of water on one hand and a camera on the other.
Amazing place for skiing ..
Must visit in Beijing, join local your thru Meituan App, reliable!
F*****g crowded on the Chinese public holiday!!! Spend hours waiting for luge up and down the wall. The whole place is packed with people. Not a good day!!!
Take water with you . Don't go fast and be careful in some parts . Don't go if ve a big rain . You can take bus to Beijing from there .
Walk the Great Wall of China. Take a long walk along the wall, or just marvel at its ingenuity.
great and amazing Great Wall. 3K years ago history.
Very uneven steps . Harder going down than up.
One of the three good man slope in China. You need to finish this slope to be a good man! - JK
There’s a really lot of people who end up at these towers, some eating lunch on the very steep stairs. Be really careful, if you fall no one wants to carry your butt out of here! - Dave Mc
A must if you are visiting Beijing due its historical value. - Carlos
First come first served. Bus only departs when it's full. - Sean Yang
