gorgeous! it costs 300¥ to walk on to the bridge , but you can get great pictures and see everything right next to it. from the bridge , you can take pictures of tourists taking pictures of the bridge .

It was worth to pay the ¥300 for crossing it, that's the same price of an Omikuji and from there the view is different, so do it! (:

Cool bridge , that's it. You can kind of walk on it if you pay ¥300, but it leads you nowhere and you have to go back to where you came from. Don't pay if you are short on money, not really worth it.

I'm a fan of "well , you're here, might as well spend the 300¥ and do it" approach. Not really worth it, but seize the day and do everything!

It's nowhere near as special as the notoriety would imply. However the general setting is pleasing.

【世界文化遺産】【国 指定重要文化財 】...奈良時代の末、勝道上人が日光山 を開く時、大谷川の急流に行く手を阻まれました。上人が神仏に加護を求めたところ、深沙王（じんじゃおう）が現れ２匹の蛇を放ち、その背から山菅（やますげ）が生えて橋 になったという伝説があります。この伝説から「山菅橋 」や「山菅の蛇橋 （じゃばし）」とも呼ばれています。二荒山神社 の橋 として世界文化遺産『日光の社寺』を構成する建物の一つです

国 指定重要文化財 。朱色の美しい橋 。橋 を渡るには300円をお納めします。橋 は行って来いで往復して元の場所に戻ります。二荒山神社 の一部で御朱印も頂けます。訪れた当日は風鈴まつりが開催されていてとても涼しげでした。

新緑に赤い欄干、そして清流のコントラストが美しいです。渡るのにはお金がかかりますが観るだけでご利益ありそう。
