Best place to run to in the city . Great view of the city and close to boathouse row. Definitely one of my favorite places in Philadelphia.
Stop and take a picture of the "Rocky Statue ." Then start your run up the “Rocky Steps”; 72 stone steps before the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art with a beautiful view of center city .
It's super crowded but you can't beat the view . Watch out for the 35 or so cars illegally parked in the bike lane right in front. It's a great representation of Philly.
Fun place for Rocky fans , but no all the kids know him! There was fun stuff for kids to do in front of the steps . Parking is an issue here
You can get the phlash bus to center city for 2$ and if you smile at the driver he'll let the child on for free
It is famous because of the movie but is it a normal steps that lead to the art museum . Rocky statue is next to the steps .
Famous site from rocky - bring your dog! There was this hilarious black chihuahua running around when I visited.
Yes you will run up the steps , yes you will raise your arms aloft. No, you will not be alone or feel silly. Sly's sneaker feet smaller than I thought though (UK size 9 / 10?). ;)

You can take a cool picture of the back of the Rocky statue from about halfway up the staircase.
Can you hear the theme music in the background? It's worth it for the view from the top !
Once you make it up the 72-step climb, don't forget to take a picture with Rocky Balboa, just to the right of the steps .
Yes people do run up the stairs all day long. Some even have the theme song playing on a radio . Rocky statue is to the bottom right when facing the Museum .
Don't miss the opportunity to run up the Rocky Stairs in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art , immortalized by Sylvester Stallone in the movie "Rocky ."
Rocky poses everywhere. Also a great vantage point to view the city .
These stairs are no joke! But wow the view is amazing!
You have to go even if you are not into Rocky because of the amazing view you have from here down Benjamin Franklin Parkway!

Beautiful view towards the city hall .
Go stand in Rocky 's footprints at the top of the stairs, for a beathtaking view of the city .
When there's a big blizzard, make sure you head here to go sledding.
Run up the steps during an actual workout. You'll feel like a badass!
