I have a new found apprec. of this place. Its BEAUTIFUL! The view & sights are great. It was so nice to see family's spending time together just chilling & many eating crabs & fishing .
It's a great place to go to if, you want to just talk and take in the beautiful view in the evening.
It's a point park that's frequented by bicyclists, runners, rollerbladers , fishermen, and people washing their cars. Too many tour buses .
Great location to power walk , jog, bike , and/enjoy the view !
Walk towards the tip and catch the planes take off & land across the river @ Reagan airport ! Great view !
Great place to get your power walk on along the water. Also pack a picnic lunch and settle with a good book in the shade.

Great place to run, but its not the same with out The Awakenings .
This is the tip at the end of East Potomac Park .
If you're looking for The Awakening statue , it has been moved to The National Harbor in Ft. Washington, MD. It was moved in 2008.
Minature Golf , Tennis Courts , Golf Driving Range and the Potomac Grille...who could ask for more?!
