Beautifully manicured gardens enclosed in this temple of literature, considered the first university in Hanoi. Historic and plenty of information to read, mainly reconstructed but still authentic
Spacious park with a well-manicured lawn. The huge temple is at the far end. There are several souvenir stores around the temple .Buy a postcard and a stamp, drop in the mailbox and send it to yourself.
Worth the couple bucks for the audio tour to learn about all the symbolism in the architecture and the history of the temple/university
The first university of Vietnam !! So nice that they have an audio earphones for rent in many languages, you can walking around and enjoy listening to its story.
The place is great, just too crowded . Lonely planets hints are enough to get the most out of the place. Some good souvenirs in the inner shop, but the prices are above average, try bargaining.
Very pretty. Entry into the gardens is 30000VND, about $1. Allocate about 20-30 minutes for a good stroll.
Beautiful property dedicated to Confucius. 30k dong to get in, take some time to enjoy
The temple was first constructed in 1070 and in English, it means the Temple of Literature which is one of the famous places in Hanoi and considered by many Vietnamese as the first university .

One of my fav attractions in Hanoi. Very beautiful place with few temples and garden .
It was an interesting tour . Would have been better were there tour guides available. It is a cool place to check out when you're in Hanoi.
It is more exciting when you go to this place during Tet holidays . Try some activities such as praying and touching the bell also. Moreover, buy yourself some words which are special to you
Cute place, entrance fee is 30000VDN. If you are looking for a little bit of peace and restore in Hanoi this must be the place.
Such a nice place to spend a few hours when you are in town . Beautiful gardens !

Not as impressive as it's made out to be in the guidebooks and usually terribly crowded . If you've seen a few temples this can be safely skipped. If not, best come early.
Audiogiude is a must.
Serene calm place . But it is a little boring compared to the other museums in the city . Tet holidays are crowded .
