In Avignon, the Palais des Popes is one of Europe's largest gothic buildings . The palace is huge and features high vaulted ceilings and beautiful artwork throughout.

It's difficult to get across quite how huge this place is. Its halls are vast. Follow the signs to the 'cafe and panoramic view ' to get some great photos of the area.

Wonderful place to visit, even if you're not religious. If you are visiting during the summer, DO NOT MISS the spetacle "les luminessences". Most beautiful and impressive thing I've ever seen

The history of the place is amazing. It's a shame that most of the already impressive rooms are dedicated to horrific local art shows. I'd much rather see what's left of the place and imagine the rest

Beautiful town and a gorgeous absolutely massive complex. Worth visiting at least the outside that doesn't require a ticket.

It's a very nice historical site but nothing to compare to the Vatican. You must take an audio guide and watch different videos.

It's worth seeing it if you have enough time but still think that the gardens are much more beautiful and you can stay 2 hours there instead :)

Skip the extremely long row by booking online. Don't forget dress fresh and carry a pai-pai; it's very hot inside in the summer

The halls are empty, unfurnished and most frescos are faded away. Still, the building itself is impressive.

Buy a combined ticket for the bridge and palais and skip the massive queues at the palais!

They cleared each room of the palace to now rely on virtual reality via ipad to enrich the visit... not the same though

Pay for both the Palais and the Pont Benezet at the same time, it'll be cheaper and you can skip the long lines

Отличнейшая экскурсия в дверец. Вам дают планшет, на котором отображается комната, где вы стоите в реальном ее облике (как было при папах). Однозначно стоит посетить.

Pour les amoureux d'histoire, d'architecture médiévale, d'histoire religieuse, c'est un endroit qui vous ravira. Et le système de guides avec AR est plutôt réussi. À visiter absolument .
