Charming place for romantic dates . Try the special set menu for lunch/dinner OR the galettes , chicken liver pâté and the crêpes ; a French dining experience that will not burn a hole in your pocket.
i liked this place a lot, it has authentic french flair and the dinner was good. I don‘t quite understand the below average rating on foursquare, in my opinion this is a very nice french bistro !
Staff pleasant and not too pushy. All food we had was excellent and we scored 8.5 out of 10 😎
Excellent onion soup , crepes , and also French aperitifs and ciders
Amazing crepes ! Crepe William is so good!
The Bretton Galette was fantastic, as was the dry Normandy cider . 😊
Don't believe the nit pickers...fine, fresh & honest food with unpretentious, attentive service . Loved it!
Great food, packed on the weekends, relatively affordable . Great for a Friday evening date. Try the flank steak .
Authentic and excellent French food . Don’t skip the crème brûlée .
Food was alright. A little clumpsy today. Onion Soup was filled with onion and no sight of soup . Escargoes came without the bread that should be there. Fish in the crepe was overdone. Lovely staff !
The tartiflette is really good there! Do not leave withour trying out the tarte tatin if they have some ^^
I had the set menu of beef and it was wonderful.
Rude staff and disappointing service! I cannot say anything about the food as the waiter just threw us out because he forgot to reserve our table. Incredible rude!
Onion soup is yum
Gallete la Bretton - excellent
The beef is a bit dry :(
Lamb shanks Ok. Back to Gallette la Bretton next time.
Don't have bread and mustard they charge you nzd 5.50 extra for 4 tiny bits of bread .
Not impressed, good food but overpriced. They also charge for bread and mustard , #notcool
Coffee next door at coffee workshop is better. But the breakfast here is fabulous. And the service is great. - Sam
